A great tool for finding out fake pictures

Recommended Posts

Specially for CowboyKenny. I know you are the pioneer of finding fake pictures and keep us educated. This tool will certainly come in handy. It might be the perfect sidekick for you.

What is TinEye?

TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology. You can submit an image to TinEye to find out where and how that image appears on the web, or to find modified or edited versions.

Nice find! It has a browser plug in as well. I will have to try it.

Tineye is in fact in my arsenal of tools for tracking down the fakes, it's been around for public consumption for about 3 weeks, I was in a limited beta test for about 2 weeks prior to the public release.Honestly though, it's got a long way to go it's accuracy is about 15- 20% with regard to finding ▼X▼X▼X▼X▼X▼X▼X▼X▼X▼X fakes but it has found some odd hard to find ones as well.

The accuracy or success rate will increase as the index database grows. So was this my secret, not quite as it's only been out for a few weeks now, i've had much more success with my methods prior to the release of Tineye and i will continue to find the fakes with my old school methods!
