LeeRichards 177238 Report post Posted May 4, 2012 Yesterdays highlight but still chuckling this morning about it. Bear with me... a little story to this. I had some late night company show up at midnight last night drunk. Two good friends, one fella I absolutely can't stand and his younger sister. This fella is an arrogant f*** to say the least. For 20 years he has always made fun of my clean shaven head and I always just ignored him....water off my back. Last night after the third joke about it .... I looked at him, looked at his hot sister ... winked at her and said " well you know your sister has had her legs wrapped around that bald head more than once and I believe she loves it" :D He turned beat red....looked at his sister...she nodded and smiled....my friends laughed their ass off and then he stormed off like he was eleventeen ;) hahaha ..... I guess you had to be there
Athos 108589 Report post Posted May 4, 2012 It's been miserably cold and damp and stormy the last few days here in NL. This morning, despite the drizzle and fog I made a little trip to a scenic beach near where I live to take pictures. Got some, hopefully good, pictures of crashing surf against the cliffs. Very dramatic with the misty fog! Of course, don't know whether any of them will be keepers until I get them onto the computer and take a better look. On the down side, I damn near froze my hands off. Porthos

Studio 110 by Sophia 150333 Report post Posted May 5, 2012 Today I am visiting my Grandmother! Her B'day today, 90 yrs old! I look so much like her, that her pics from she was 20-40, most people think it is me in one of those photographs that are made to look antiqued. My mother side of family has 14 aunts and uncles, plus all of the kids...and kids kids...and well you get the idea! Will be a ton of relatives in all generations! Gonna be a blast, but I am sure I will cry lots too, as she is so old and frail with dementia:(

Treasure those moments. My mother is 88 and suffering from dementia. I'm going to be seeing her in a few weeks, and while I'm really looking forward to it, it's been over a year since I last saw her (usually I visit weekly). I'm not even sure she'll know who I am, so part of me is very anxious about how much she may have deteriorated.

My Great Aunt is 96 years old and she has dementia as well. I'm going to visit her in September. She has survived her sister and brothers and many of her neices and nephews who died in their 60's and 70's. She says she doesn't want to live to be a 100 but I'm sure she will. I hope you have fun Sophia and enjoy every moment with her. Family is important. Edited May 6, 2012 by Nicolette Vaughn
Guest N***he**Ont**y Report post Posted May 6, 2012 I get a visit from my father nd he tells me he tripped and fell. Turns out he was at the local TH and fell stepping off the sidewalk in front of TH. Two people picked him up as he fell on his back breaking his wrist. Two hours running around first to the local clinic where Dr confirms it is broken. Two hours at the hospital and now he is in an arm cast. That was my memory to the end of my day. Gabriella Laurence 301887 Report post Posted May 9, 2012 . This highlight is not only for today but it occurred over the course of the last few days; I always knew the CERB community was an awesome one but I had no idea of the extent of it. Your support and kindness have definitely helped me go through a very difficult and stressful time and without all of you, I would have lost my mind. You have helped me keep my cool (I have to admit that I snapped and blew up today in a not so lady like way), guided me on how to keep things in perspective and encouraged me to keep my head high even though all I wanted to do was cry and give up. You guys are truly wonderful!!! :) Today's highlight: finding out that rotten apples are not welcome on CERB!

Every winter, when I wear my jacket the first time, I'm often pleasantly surprised with about $10-$40 in the pockets I've left behind.
