Guest A**aTo**h Report post Posted February 21, 2015 On the way to the grocery, a person in an SUV ran a red light and cut me off as I was going straight through an intersection on a green. I thought to myself, wow, must be a medical emergency, a pregnancy, or some sort of emergency, but no, this person then travels at a speed 10 km under the speed limit, how annoying! We then get to a major intersection and this person then turns right, on a red without stopping or even slowing down. The highlight: as he makes the turn, a police car was making a u-turn on the green, and the two nearly collided! No one was hurt as there was no contact, but the police car's lights went on and the offender was pulled over! There is justice from time to time and so nice to be witness to it! Studio 110 by Sophia 150333 Report post Posted February 25, 2015 Today I met a wonderful Gentlemen, one who was declined many times for not being able to book within my protocols. Today I took a chance to meet him. I found such a nice experience in meeting him, and now will continue with a long founded friendship with this person. I am happy to see the expectation to the rule can work out from time to time, but instincts can go a long way too!

mrgreen760 37785 Report post Posted February 28, 2015 Here's an odd highlight. I was car jacked by knife point in broad daylight. I was sitting parked on a side street responding to an email on my bb and he slipped into the drivers seat and at first I thought he said he needed a ride and I asked where he wanted to go, he produced a knife and said he wanted my ride and to get out, thought for a moment of smacking him but puts my hands up and told him to chill and I got out. Instinctively as I did I turned off the car, I walked to the back of the vehicle and was ready to call 911 and report the theft. However he didn't move and after a minute or so he got out swearing a blue streak at me as he walked away. Seems he didn't know how to start or drive a 5 speed. Lesson learned......keep doors locked......and drive a 5 speed and keep your powder dry. Peace MG

mrrnice2 157005 Report post Posted March 3, 2015 Well to start off the highlights I must describe the month from Hell. After coming home from an amazing two weeks away with family I discovered that while I was away my oil furnace had self imploded. It shot soot and smoke throughout the entire house and it got into everything - clothes, cupboards, covered furniture drapes and walls and ceilings. At that point it has shut itself off therefore freezing every pipe in my home. I then managed to come down with my first flu in 20 years despite having had the flu shot as I always do. Then I found myself scheduled for rather serious surgery out of province. So, where are the highlights? My insurance company is covering the soot damage from the furnace implosion. The estimate is close to $20 K and every single thing is being washed and cleaned and apparently most or all of the interior will be repainted. Insurance will not cover the many burst pipes because I had the house checked every two days rather than every day. So learn from me and be sure to have your home checked daily if you travel. My plumbing is now all done and though I had to rip out one ceiling and one wall to access pipes I still got away lucky. The flu shot must have helped a bit because that flu came and went quickly and was not overly serious. The surgery was done last week in Halifax and it seems to have gone amazingly well!! I have a two month recovery period so I shall have to learn to be still and quiet and rest. I suppose I can do that. Try it MN2, you might like it! So a long story but ultimately I will have a clean bill of health and will have my spring cleaning done for me from top to bottom. Whoo Hoooo. :)
