mrrnice2 157005 Report post Posted September 24, 2011 What are some phrases or sentences that when you hear them, you KNOW that what they REALLY mean? Two examples from me. As a teacher I knew that when a parent came in and said, " I know that my son is not an angel, but .....", that as soon as I heard those words I was dealing with a totally non-supportive parent. Or, the worst. When you read on a box the words. "Some assembly required". It really means that to put that BBQ together or worse still, the Barbie Boat, that it will consume many hours of your time. Guest tr*****e Report post Posted September 25, 2011 Or how about... 1. 'Just five minutes...' 2. 'I'll just be in and out!' That second one is THE WORST when you're under 15.

Touch 57501 Report post Posted September 26, 2011 "Nuff said"! seen frequently in advertising for sex related products and services = means just the opposite: they are not telling you what you want to know and more needs to be "said."
