Hey there - are there any service providers in the city that provide this service. Want to do a one time try and know it is not every SPs cup of tea (badabump!)

I'm wary of some ladies who offer CIM at all, it just seems dangerous? I understand the appeal, and a couple ladies have just done it for me, but it wasn't on their menus. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

I have been around the business in Ottawa for over 25 years and have never heard of anything being passed on this way. I know that vindictive people have started rumors to try to advance there won chances and eliminate the competition however I do not actually know of any real case. I would love to know more about this if anyone has first hand knowledge of this happening directly to them, I do understand the controversial nature of this so I think a PM is more appropriate than blurting it our here in public chat.

I am going to start an STD poll that is of course anonymous just for my own curiosity.

An STD poll would be interesting especially if it is one focused on BBBJs as there is controversy in this area (BBFS is pretty clearly a risk!). Two experts on the MedHelp forums are of the view that oral is a very inefficient way to transfer STDS - period - and the chances of catching anything are very low - not entirely absent - but very very low. that would concur with Dummpy's observations.

What is the difference between bbbj's of any kind and DATY as far as SDT are concerned? What if the lady squirts? What if the lady cums?

Apparently not a lot of difference - both are low (but not "no") risk....

And digits, and 2 ladies sharing a guy, ph issues and std/sti transfer, not too mention kissing etc... to think that one type of oral is unsafe and all others are safe is like sticking your head in the sand, however I do believe that the actual risks from this community of carfully educated people is minimal. And yes agreed that BBFS is a baddy, however IV drugs and same sex intercoruse are the vast majority of the bad stuff going around, at least that's what the people at the clinic told me last week. (and I do beleive them) I am not a doctor and not an authority however I am in the sample and had a certain amount of experience in the sample population and as lab rat am fairing very well, you would think that after +- 25 years I would have contracted something? (and the includes broken or slipped off condoms at least 2-3 a year)

I agree an STD poll would be most interesting. I think when referring to BBBJ there has been a few threads on this issue but whenever stats were presented numbers were low. There are also risks associated with DATY. To say there are no risk well I sure can't not in this business. But then I think the risk is no greater then young teenagers dating in today's world. In the end I respect everyone's choices but it should be your own based on available medical information, not ear say.

As for me personnally, I have been enjoying this business for many years (am I that old shttttt...) and have been in many cities as well as many countries and have never caught STD. Maybe I was lucky!!! or carefull about who I was seeing!!! or both!!!

Not sure if a poll on this subject is a good idea to be honest. It's a subject that plagues the industry and many people outside of the industry assume that everyone involved in the industry must have (or regularly contracts) std's or sti's.

We know when injection drugs and unsafe sex are involved (Often the case with streetwalkers) the risk level is off he chart but the problem is a lot of people group streetwalkers and escorts all into the same category as they are all sex workers. This of course is very unfair to the escorts who stay clean of chemical drugs, practice safe sex and take care of themselves.

I am worried that people will post poll votes based on "sex workers" in general and will add to the already horrible stereotype the ladies here are forced to deal with. When a streetwalker is working to pay for a drug habit she/he would most likely not stop working to take care of the infection (herpes/warts/theclap/etc...) and with the use of injection drugs stuff like hiv/hep/etc are MUCH higher risk as well and let's face it if a streetwalker can buy drugs or good condoms what do you think the money will go for? Sure some area's have heath units and people who give out condoms free but many bad things have happened because no condom was present and the streetwalker didn't care as the drugs were controller her/his actions. When you group all sex workers together you will get a VERY unclear version of the truth because of this.

I personally do know two people (who are not SP's) who have herpes from bbbj's. They have drugs now to prevent outbreaks but they are told this is still not 100%. I am not talking about cold soars on the lips (These are also a form of herpes) but full outbreaks of blisters all inside the mouth - very painful and unpleasent to say the least.

You as the man cannot get HIV from contact with saliva alone, so the man is pretty much safe. The lady however is at higher risk. The only way oral sex could present some risk to you as the man is if she had sufficient amounts of blood in her mouth (from recent dental work, bleeding gums, or other dental problems) and your penis came into direct contact with blood. Now other stuff can be passed by BBBj's such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU, warts (hpv), syphilis, herpes, etc... so the risk is significantly higher but most are treatable and stuff like herpes as I mentioned has no cure but can be controled to some extent.

If you in or out of the hobby and have multiple sex partners (or your partner has multiple sex partners) You should get screened at least once a year for STDs. Many STDs do not have symptoms and can go unnoticed. If you get something like Syphilis and treat it early enough you can cure it without any real problem using antibiotics (If you let it go for a long period of time you end up in trouble)

On another note: I am not coming down on streetwalkers. They are often good people in bad situations. The general public needs to know the difference. Recently some of the pimps who control the streetwalkers have placed ads on sites like CL luring guys into in-calls and the in-call prostitute is a streetworker. (This is new as real street pimps really never bothered with the cyber world before this - sure the occassional one would with the help of a friend but it was never considered to be a real problem). I am not sure if this is happeneing yet in Ottawa but you need to be aware that it can happen... as it has happened in many other cities. So if you TOFTT and notice the lady is bait and switch (especially if she is in a dumpy place, the bad part of town or appears to be high or tweaking) you may want to high tail it out of the call as the risk is very high if you stick around for that.

As for the poll... if you agree or disagree with my reason for not thinking it's a good idea feel free to comment and add your thoughts. This is a subject that should be discussed as it's on many peoples minds but it is a very sensitive topic as we don't want it to add to the already horrible stereotype that the ladies (who you all love) have to live with.

I agree we do have to be careful not to stigmatize people in the business and - at the same time - avoiding stigmatizing ourselves as people pursuing this hobby. From what I can tell hobbyists do have many more partners than average and this should theoretically raise the chances that we would contract more STIs and STDs and presumably transmit them also. However, I have never heard of a hobbyist contracting an STI or STD from their pursuits. (I know nothing about those in the street business though) Maybe a poll might even reduce some of the stigma associated with our hobby?

Unprotected hetrosexual sex (oral, anal) is as risky as same sex. In fact same sex female is proven to be much safer than hetrosexual sex as far as transmission of aids is concerned. Therefore same sex activities are not the reason for vast majority of stds going around as it may create a false sense of security among hetrosexual patners.

Sadly, in the hetrosexual intercourse, it is the female who is at much greater risk (aids in particular) and may be that is why there is a misconception that hetrosexual sex is safer among men.

Regardless of whether it is hetrosexual or same sex intercourse, THE USE OF PROTECTION IS A MUST.

As long as (unprotected) anal intercourse is concerned, same sex or hetrosexual ARE EQUAL IN risk of transmission of aids and other STDs.

As far as STD transmission by oral sex is concerned, again same sex and hetrosexual oral sex carry equal risk.

As far as transmission of aids and oral sex is concerned, there has not been any proven case of aids transmission through Daty (although theoretically transmission still possible), however, there has been a few reported (proven) cases of aids transmission through BBBJ (CBJ still safe).

Here is a link to a detailed article by the Public Health agency of Canada. It is titled “Oral sex and the risk of HIV transmission. Some of the info in the article may not be related but it does provide some information about the risks associated with BBBJ and DATY.

I have added a few citations from the medhelp forums that I think are interesting in regard to the discussion above. I like this site because the doctors and researchers don't come across as moralizing or in a panic about the behaviours of the people asking the questions. That is refreshing. On the other hand the people asking the questions ARE often in a panic which is a bit sad really. Get a grip people.

Chance are very rare of getting some sort of STD during oral. On the other hand your risk increases 10 fold if the woman, ( i'm hoping you guys are talking women here ) has an open cut, bleeding gums or some other form of bleeding in her mouth and your junk has an open cut ( not sure how this can be ) but anyways these two circumstances can be at higher risk ( this also inludes the one eyed monster.)
