Well I thought with a title like Let's Work Together, I'd get a song about working...but with the band being called Canned Heat, well if you spend too much time in a hot can, you get hot blooded LOL so

Foreigner-Hot Blooded

Pink Floyd's The Wall is undeniably a masterpiece. As long as you don't mind being a surrogate therapist to Roger Waters that is (and I mostly don't although it bothers me more after repeated listens). But David Gilmour's guitar work transcends Waters' whinging.

Sounds like. Two words.

Gnarls Barkley!

I'm sure everyone has heard this song enough, however, not enough people have read this Malcolm Gladwell article about companies that try to predict hit movies and songs. http://www.gladwell.com/2006/2006_10_16_a_formula.html

The computer system in the article correctly predicted that Crazy was going to be a huge hit. Very interesting reading, although it is a few years old now and it would be interesting to follow up and see how successful they have been.

Although quite different from my usual listening fare, I have found myself rather enjoying what I've heard from the latest album from Toronto's own "Fucked Up" album. Admittedly, that is a fairly small selection, but I'm definitely willing to endorse this song.

Well then I guess all gamblers want to do is play cards.

Corb Lund - All I want to do is play cards

Also, for those foolish enough to enter a card game with Corb Lund, Geoff Berner has a song titled "Don't Play Cards for Money with Corby Lund" though I can't find a recording online anywhere.

Bruce certainly isn't shy to sing about cars, with songs like Cadillac Ranch, Thunder Road, Backstreets and probably a few more.

Another guy who likes cars is Neil Young. This song is about his Pontiac Hearse named Mort (aka Mortimer Hearseburg) that he drove from Toronto to LA in the 60's

And there were another bunch of musicians who didn't care about Long May You Run, they just cared about The Long Run...and I don't think it's about cars

Dreaming happens when you're sleeping, which is a state of unconsciousness, though slightly less permanent for death. However, should you find yourself being dead and looking for something to do, look no further than this song

Well, as I'm sure everyone knows, this song created a bit of a controversy last year when the CRTC banned the original version due to some issues with the language in the lyrics.

So I suppose that would make it a bad example of a song that could be played on the radio.

Warren Zevon - Mr. Bad Example

Plus the character in the song steals from the church collection box, which is getting money for nothing, I suppose.
