No, not the Bee Gees, come on, I've tired of their jive talking.

And Dean Martin was a member of the Rat Pack

Another member of the Rat Pack was this little known LOL singer

And the song, well it is something you shouldn't say to a SP, and something she wouldn't want to hear

Sometime you say stupid things cause you just don't know.

More Than You Know, Billie Holiday

Loving you the way that I do

There's nothing I can do about it

Loving may be all you can give

But darling, I can't live without it

Well this one's a stretch but our singer is Johnny Cash, so that's a good thing

Our previous song was by a singer first name Billie

This song is about a Billy, well Billy Joe

oopppps you gave the wrong link... it went back to something stupid.

you wanted

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xd7ebysI9g&feature=fvst

but we are in Canada and we just don't bring our guns to the mall

Weird Al Yankovic - Canadian Idiot

with scenes from Canadian Bacon

Don't wanna be a Canadian idiot

Don't wanna be some beer swillin' hockey nut

And do I look like some frostbitten hose-head?

I never learned my alphabet from A to Zed

They all live on donuts and moose meat

And they leave the house without packin' heat

Never even bring their guns to the mall

And you know what else is too funny?

Their stupid Monopoly money

Can't take 'em seriously at all

A friend of mine has been encouraging me to listen to Billie Holiday lately, so I'll go back to her and the connection is that while hes been hitchiking everywhere (as in the previous post), shes lonely for him and wondering...

"Lover Man, oh, where can you be.

The night is cold and I'm so all alone.

I'd give you my soul, to call you my own

...

Some day, we will meet, and you will dry all my tears"

Well sometimes love gets in the way of friendship.

Even best friends can fight over someone they love.

In this clip from the opera The Pearl Fishers, two best friends pledge to each other their eternal friendship.

The result is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.

The part in the middle (the bridge if you like) where it sounds like they are about to fight is when they see the woman they both love.

But they return to their duet.

Also note how at the beginning they are singing separately, but as the song progresses their vocals become more co-ordinated and interconnected.

If you have a keen sense of music, you'll notice that part of the bridge was stolen by Bizet right out of his opera Carmen -- but apparently you can't sue yourself for copyright infridgement. ha ha.

Sorry, I couldn't find a version with subtitles, but basically they say.

"Hey man, I love you bro"

"Me too, dude, lets be friends again"

"Ok, but wait, [the bridge] there she is, the woman we fought over, and I still love her"

"But she is now out of bound because her new job in the temple makes touching her a major crime, dude, so let us swear off women and be friends"

"Ok, good thinking bro, a death sentence would be a serious bummer"

"OK, dude"

T'ank you boys. Now Bobby and Sissy are going to dance to The Patek Family orchestra song "The Circling Pigeon Waltz" from the historic Texas-Czech-Bohemian-Moravian Band compilation album.

Brought to you by Geritol

Please enjoy.

Yes Roaming guy it was an opera by Bizet -- didn't you just love my synopsis of the song. Ha ha. And my Waynes world translation fit in well with your selection.

Ok continuing along the lines of Bohemian.

Randy ------, lead singer of Lamb of God, was arrested in Prague this summer, in connection with the death of a fan last time the band played there.

Lamb of God - Desolation

Edit: Okay, that's --really-- odd. The guy's surname is B-l-y-t-h-e, and I have no clue why CERB converts that to dashes.
