SamanthaEvans 166767 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 A conversation elsewhere got me thinking about how businesses and other locations are added to Google maps. I found this Google help article, but it doesn't give enough information to ease my mind. My concern is that someone could add escorts' addresses to Google maps, which would be a very dangerous thing. Does anyone know more about how this function works? If you read the "Quality guidelines" you will see how business qualify for having their business' listed. I believe on moral issues, they probably won't list anything that they may consider illegal. bcguy42 38594 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 Also, if you go to the Quality Guidlines the first thing it says is that only business owners or their authorized reps can verify business listings. It goes on to clarify how it does that.
