do hobbyists prefer independent sp's to agencies

Independent all the way. I am in Toronto a lot. And I never visit SP's there because everything here is an Agency.

 

There are very few independent providers that work in Toronto. So in the end I end up going to Ottawa or Kingston to see Independent providers.

Independant for me too. For one thing I like to be fairly certain that all of my dollars are going to the lady. For another, like subforu, I like conversing with the woman a bit either on cerb or via e-mail before booking...just to get a feel of her personality and whether or not we'll click. Plus something about calling, speaking to someone else, then having some person I've never even communicated with in any sense show up at my door feels a little bit too much like ordering food to me. I don't like the ladies to be objectified in my mind like that. I don't mean to put down the guys who do frequent agencies or the ladies who are represented by agencies....this is just my own personal opinion on it.

And also from simply a more practible sense....independants always seem to get better reviews. I'm not someone who can afford to just throw their money around willy nilly. So before booking with a lady I exhaustively search reviews and recommendations to ensure she is a great provider and reputable, and as I prefer a more PSE type of encounter I also like to ensure that she's offering the types of services I enjoy. In other words I never toftt. (Sorry guys :p ). And often with the high turnover agencies often have you pretty much have to toftt. I'm sure there are a lot of great providers who work for agency but they're simply not around long enough to get a really good reputation. And regrettably seeing a lady with little to no rep is not a risk I can honestly afford.

I've had wonderful experiences with both.

 

I've had a much wider exposure to Indys than to Agencies, though. Since most of the ladies here on Cerb - those who allow us to get a taste of the their personalities by posting on the board - are Indy, it's inevitable that a lot more Indys catch my attention and interest here. (I'd guess that this disparity in board participation is not coincidental. Ladies who have chosen to use agencies tend to prefer to avoid the headaches of booking appointments, creating and posting ads, and handling endless inquiries. That's why they use agencies, and I'd guess that such preferences would often, although of course not always, go along with a tendency to prefer not to spend a lot of time on things like discussion boards either.)

 

Whether Agency or Indy, one very useful practice for a potential client, which yields rich rewards for the time and effort invested, is to research research research. That's the way to maximize the chances of a finding an individually good fit for yourself, and the chances of a having a good rendezvous when all has been said and done!

Maybe it's because Indy's have less on their mind. No complicated bosses or coworkers. So when you go see an Indy it's about you and her..not you, her, the boss the coworker that's mad that you took her client, having to give a lot of this money to the boss..Just you and her.

Working for myself was so much more rewarding being able to call the shots and see who I want to see. Some places don't let you refuse a client. Most clients here you can get to know a bit about ahead of time, find out their likes and dislikes, what they are looking for and same with the clients..Their must be a certain level of excitement and anticipation that you get seeing an Indy VS seeing an agency, having ironed out all the details in advance, spoke to her and got to know her a bit ahead of time.

Indies, mostly. There's a couple of reasons for this.

 

Firstly, I don't do outcalls. That means that as far as ladies offering FS are concerned, agencies are just a complete non-starter, as AFAIK most of them only offer outcalls. This isn't an issue with MAs, as MPs exist (and yes, I visit them - or at least, the ones that are conveniently located :) ). yes, I supposed I could get a hotel room if I really wanted to meet someone who worked for an agency... but I already have far to many people who I'd like to meet and haven't yet.

 

Secondly, I tend to make decisions on who to see based on what I read here. To some extent, yes, that's recos; but it's also the things that the ladies themselves post. AFAIK anyone working with an agency has to have a paid account to be allowed to contribute, and many don't; and many of those that do seem not to post all that much in the public forums. I don't mean any criticism by this, of course - I'm well aware that highly public conversations aren't for everyone :)

i prefer independents also, but have had lots of great experiences with Pink Kitty ladies and a few with Explore Her. I think everyone has different tastes and likings. Both are very good.

The answer depends on the city you are talking about. Montreal has a huge number of agencies of every size, shape and description. It is possible to find helpful and dependable agencies there, but that is assuming a client has a great deal of information about the reputation and style of the various agency options. For all other cities, I would try to contact an independent based on information I gathered from CERB and then followed up with e-mails to the SP and perhaps information from other clients and perhaps other boards as well. In any case as a client, do your research or repent at leisure.

I would say that for me, independent ladies are the way to go.

Now if a lady at an agency interests me, I would likely see her. The caveat for me, is the agency reputable? I did my checking in that regards, because there are a couple agency ladies (won't say what city/what agency) who peaked my interest (and yes, I did check their recommendations, and also found out the agency is reputable)

But seeing a agency lady for me will be an exception, not the rule. There is still the middleman (the agency) when seeing an agency lady, where as an independent lady, it's just the two of you

So far I have only gone with indies for several reasons. I like the personal feel. I like looking at their posts here on Cerb and feeling like I am getting a better idea of what the woman is like. The ads I see from agencies seem so less human, many of them just telling you the SP's age, race, and measurements. I guess it's the difference between feeling like you've just rented a warm body versus the feeling of spending money to have time with a quality woman.

 

Also, I generally would feel uneasy about dealing with an agency because it involves more people than I'd really like to have involved in this. I'd rather not have all my contact information lying around some office somewhere. I'm not married or a public figure or anything, so I'm not worried about discretion or blackmail, but still, I'd just rather not have a whole bunch of administrators involved in my sex life.

I do prefer the indies and here in Ottawa I deal only with the indies. I prefer to talk directly to the woman I am considering seeing and not some guy answering the phone and giving me answers to my questions that might not be accurate.

 

But when travelling in areas not represented by CERB such as Quebec City or other smaller cities in Quebec I will go with the local agencies as I have no way of checking the reputation of the local indies and some areas have very few indies.
