Love2Cum 100 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I was recently corresponding with an SP from CL. We went through the usual Q's and I asked her to provide a few more pics. I figure at least that forces them to go find the site they originally stole the pics from eh? =). But anyway, I figure if someone can send me more than that one pic they've used for their CL ad at least that's cutting out some of the scams. Ok, I'm rambling... What I really want to mention is that she said "No affence but i dont think many girls will send you pictures your email makes you seem like a teen pranking". I have a, colorful, email address similar to my CERB handle I've been using recently. What I'm wondering is, do you women look at the alias or email address you're getting requests from critically and does it effect whether you will reply back? Have any members had similar experiences? Kinda hate to change my CERB handle now after this many posts but I don't want to turn someone off.
cat 262460 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I have recieved many emails with addresses that had me on the floor gripped in sidesplitting laughter. What I find annoying are the obvious alias. I have more John Smiths than I care to count. Makes it easy to remember names tho. I find that email addys like [email protected] sometimes arrive at the most inopportune moments. I have an ancient bb and I can't count the number of times something pops up like this and I giggle at it. My people will want to know whats so funny and we end up discussing the need to put [email protected] out there. Fortunately they know what I do and they all have a wonderful sense of humor. If [email protected] shows up, it simply goes in the "when I get around to it" pile. It just doesn't carry the same priority as [email protected] does. Now board handles are a different story. When I first discovered the boards, I stayed away for many reasons. Since I have had the pleasure of meeting so many here I now realize that the handles are really well chosen. igotaboner could not have picked a more appropriate name and incognito is just that. If I had been Snow White with an 8th dwarf I would have never left the cottage unless Lurker was in the bushes. loneskater could have pulled off loneranger and Passmore could be WhiteKnight, but thats just my take. They all make sense once we meet. And for me...cat...is what I am. Not because I'm feline in nature. Quite simply I have 9 lives, possibly more and have proven it many times to date. For those of you who don't know my story you will have to come see me to understand this. I think the thread on having email addys that do not stand out is right on the money. Remember how important 1st impressions are and the 1st impression you make on me is with your address and then your words... Catherine
mod 135639 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I think alias's and personal email address's should represent you. (If your the fun type of person or the serious person it usually shows with a look at the email address name you have chosen) - I know if I see a email alias like [email protected] I know the person is probably laid back with a sence of humour so I can joke with them but [email protected] I would probably be much more business like with). I often wonder about some of the names guy's use here... for example "Fartfart" - who could take someone serious with an alias like that? (Sorry fartfart but that is the truth). If you look at the members list you will see what I mean.. many BAD alias's but most are just people reading and not contributing... but you never know if one day you want to jump in the conversation that choice is going to haunt you. On a escort board love2cum is rather appropriate but some may still assume things (level of maturity, etc..) but a simple look at your previous posts here and it shows you are a contibuting member so I can't see that effecting you much on cerb. Dreamgirl 246 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 a big turn off is someone asking for more photos, do YOU have some photos, I want to see who I have to deal with (there is a big subject on that) ! A more picture request for me is junkmail and with a funny adress its a 100% bye bye!
Love2Cum 100 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I'm generally only asking for more photos if only one was provided. As Cowboy Kenny frequently notes, CL posts often are ripping photos from elsewhere so a little extra screening on the client's end is needed for CL ads. If someone has a variety provided already on their site or here on CERB then that's not and issue obviously. (I know, I know, should just stick w reviewed girls but not always an option when on-the-road)
loneskater 25635 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I use my regular hotmail address to contact the ladies and if she doesn't already know me well, I put my CERB handle in brackets in the title area. You have to remember that often the ladies know us by our CERB handle first so can't blame them for not initilly remembering which first name is associated with each CERB handle.
