I don't know why this isn't permitted... it seems like I can only edit something within a certain time frame... A post can be edited withing 48 hrs after it was posted. Posts can't be deleted (except by the mods) because in the past some disgruntled members abused the privilege, and deleted hundreds of their own posts. This left big holes in many threads.
