Separate sections for SP and MA

If some ladies currently offer both services then they may be getting short changed. If I see the term 'massage' in an ad I tend to skip to the next one. If the lady also offers FS then I'd miss it. However if there were either separate threads or some other clear indicator of service type being offered then it would be better.

I always clearly state in my ads that I offer both services, and with inquiries I give all information on both types of service and what you can expect while you are with me. Sometimes they decide as they get here too.

From a Hobbyist point of view (my 2 cents) . When I am looking for an SP, I dont want to have to read through all the ads or guess whether an AD is what I am looking for. This board has become way too confusing. I think the 2 services Sp and MA are different enough that they both should have their own section.

We have been discussing this in council (back in November) and we have some issues with it.

 

(1) It's very difficult (and time consuming) to move all the old posts from one area to the other

(2) Some advertisers do both MP and FS so we are trying to decide if they would be permitted to advertise in both sections or just one

(3) If both would we have a limit of time (like once per area in a 12 hour period)

(4) some people would obviously see this as a way to get more advertising and post in both even though they primarily do just FS or MS

 

Anyway... we are (have been) discussing this.

You are advertising in Maritimes (Mainly Freddy) and there is no comparison with the number of ads compared to Ottawa.

 

The impression I got (someone correct me if I am wrong), is we would do it only for Ottawa to start because of the number of ads and then follow suit in other cities if/when the need warranted it.

I agree with Angela and that this is mostly a concern in the larger cities. For myself, this is not a big deal in my geographic area.

 

I do think this would be a good idea though for the larger cities with many more areas. I do travel some to Ottawa and Toronto, so I would think it would be convenient.

Valid point WIT...When I travel I usually only advertise for SP as I will not bring my massage table around with me. I rarely offer a massage on a bed, because I want to give the best massage I can. But when asked to do one, I certainly would not say no either. I suppose if were driving there I may want to bring the table, but I fly and is too awkard.

I thought if they made a section like this it woud be for all the board, I did not consider it would be just for certain places. Might be the answer to the confusion for large cities, but means more MOD work too.

I never thought my little suggestion would prompt so many replies - glad to see that I have (apparently) not offended anyone - which I was affraid it could happen.

 

I'm also happy that the mod replied too.

 

However, I think that he may be overthinking this.

 

As some mentionned, I don't think it would be necessary to migrate all previous post. Most ad "expired" after 48 hours anyway (i.e. last day in town, special of the day, etc.).

 

One way to deal with this would be to inform all members though a sticky of a message prompt on login of the upcomming change to avoid any confusion when this would come into effect.

 

Also, as suggested, ladies offering both SP (I see fetishes in this category regardless of the possiblity of FS of GFE) and MA section. Not knowing the flexibily of vbulletin, it may only be possible to run on an honour based system - changing the general rule of allowing 2 post every 12 hours.

 

Finally, for lower volume regions, they could stick with just one advertising section - so that they dont look like pleasure deserts.

just came across this thread, and have to say I was wondering the same thing.

 

As an SP-FS oriented hobbiest the growing number of massage provider announcements on the Ottawa board has become a real distraction

 

(and as I say about so many predilections that aren't really my thing ... "not that there's anything wrong with that! ;-)

 

Parkers suggestion from a few pages back makes perfect sense to me ... get rid of the gooofy useless icon option in the second column and just replace it with some new choices for the provider to click on when they place an ad:

 

FS

 

MA

 

FS/MA

 

FE? (Fetish)

 

Then we hobbiests can at a glance know which ads to read ..

Note that everyone now has a "I am a ..." descriptor which shows at the top right of every post. If you keep an eye on that, it should be easier to tell at a glance which ladies are escorts vs which ladies provide massage, etc.

 

This info comes from the "Service Provider, Massage Provider, Hobbyist or Other?" field in the Details section of the Registration Info as entered in each member's User CP.
