Guest nickontheside Report post Posted November 5, 2008 PrettyPaige, glad to hear it. That's the way it should be. You've said it all right there.
Kubrickfan 12836 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 Why someone would want to use obscene and demanding language in an introduction note to anyone is beyond me, but especially a lady. Its so easy to be polite, and its always paid back.
d*mm*y 887 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 I too am a believer in devils advocate and looking at 2 sides of the story. So the lady excuses his rude behavior and see him anyway? What if this turns out to be the date from hell, the guys is a jerk and his personality in real life is exactly as it is online! That is also a scenario that did not get played out. I have been "stood up" on short notice or no notice more times than you can count, I probably hit 50% between cancellations with in 24 hours and out and out no shows, it goes with the territory. We are not ordering a Pay Per View show here, shit happens. Over and over again we keep saying have a contingency plan, at the very least be happy that you have save $300+ and go buy your wife or significant other, or the lady you have had your eye on, some flower and a nice night out with the change. Sorry for the tone just adopting a writing style in keeping with the rebuttal. :-D And I do love a devils advocate!! So not only will I not be attending an outcall today, but this man is now on my black list... Of course I cannot quibble with PrettyPaige's judgement regarding this or any client. But another perspective may be worth mentioning here -- a glimpse into the life of the downtrodden clients in this industry. It may put the frenzy of condemnation and name-calling in this thread in some perspective. Since PrettyPaige does not tell us whether or not she also told her potential client what she has shared with CERB, I.... ... too. Wrong, but human. Such a slip does not show that they would do anything to harm a SP. (Yes, yes, yes. But how is a SP to know? Ah, truly. There's the rub.) "Respect" for the SP's is the watchword on CERB. I think potential clients deserve no less from the SP's. Respect should be a two-way street. Oops, I suppose this opinion of mine qualifies me for Blacklisting as well. But, what the hey. Zero for Four? How much worse can being blacklisted be?
p22*** 236 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Ottawa's the worst for no shows, I think Ottawa has one of the highest no-shows across Canada. Thats why travelling Sp's always post threads addressing the no-show issue. I have canceled on clients. Who hasn't, life happens, and SPing is something we do in our secret lives...Not only do we have our normal work schedules and life comments we also have our SP schedule. I myself have a small child, work, go to school, family and friends, that can challenge my escort occupation. I think its very important for clients to remember that, to be discreet sometimes we must cancel. I have hade family, friends and landlord all decide to drop by last mintue... Or babysitter cancel, or be late, son gets sick, I get sick...Life happens, so dont take it personally. So I think cancelling is far better than being interupted by any one... I have canceled, but have never been walked in on, or hade a client go as family or friends come in... I go out of my way to ensure that our time is discreet and secret... I just wanted to address the point of why SP's cancel... Thank you...
YoungStud 468 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Paige makes some really good points. A friend of mine in the business would echo the one about Ottawa being really bad for no-shows from clients. She's worked elsewhere and has a perspective for comparison. So no-shows certainly work both ways. As well, they actually hurt the provider's income, while the reverse is not true for clients. I think everyone knows that working women in any profession have lots of other things going on in their lives - family, friends, children, significant others, illness, etc. Some may sometimes forget that SPs are just the same as anyone else in that regard. And as well also have the privacy and discretion considerations Paige mentions. I think any reasonable client would accept cancellations gracefully. And deal with no shows as just something that happens from time to time. And not just to them. Ottawa's the worst for no shows, I think Ottawa has one of the highest no-shows across Canada.
