Meg O'Ryan 266444 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 My needs are pretty basic, I just want to be able to add a watermark to my pictures. I have photoscape but the only thing I can do that is similar to a watermark is use the "balloon" function and opaque it but it looks awful. So, any suggestions? bcguy42 38594 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 Have you looked at Picasa from Google? It has some basic editing functions, is free, and you can add a watermark of your choosing. See http://support.google.com/picasa/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=106193 You can download Picasa here: http://picasa.google.com/
toine 30556 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 Meg, Web-based free stuff is out there, but there are some pics one may not want to manipulate on the web...but if it is to be used later on here on CERB, it will be on the web, so why not! Adobe has a free web-based software... Take a look: http://www.photoshop.com/tools/overview
Meg O'Ryan 266444 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 So, I found a free program...a bit clunky but does the job! http://www.watermark-image.com/
etasman2000 15994 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 Gimp or Paint.Net
Guest S*rca****sid Report post Posted January 11, 2012 I use Photoshop for mine. You can create your own design and place it anywhere on the image. For a free alternative I would strongly suggest GIMP like etasman suggested. It may seem a bit overwhelming for the beginer, but there are lots of how-to videos online, or I'm sure there are many members that can help out like myself.
