Have heard that the Westin is not great and requires a card for elevator use. What about the Fairmont Chateau Laurier or the Embassy Suites? Thoughts? The Delta required card access above a certain floor. The following were quite accessible: Albert at Bay Suite Hotel Bostonian Executive Suites Capital Hill Hotel & Suites Cartier Place Suite Hotel Chimo Hotel - St Laurent Crowne Plaza Ottawa Hotel Delta Ottawa Hotel & Suites Extended Stay Deluxe Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Les Suites Hotel Monterey Inn Resort Ottawa Marriott Quality Hotel Ottawa Downtown The Radisson Ottawa Ramada Plaza Manoir Du Casino -Gatineau Personally, I can't hobby at the Chateau Laurier - too many business meetings there but I believe it is friendly. The hotel industry is obsessed with statistics, they can tell you how many people pee in the pool and the average number of guests taking the stairs vs the elevator. It is astounding, however in that business they need to fully understand the numbers to control the costs. Akhenaton 221 Report post Posted November 17, 2008 I would not be surprised to learn that the maids actually put a check besides "condom or other sexual consummables found" and then cross reference the room number with the lenght of the stay, voila ! affairs for sure (short stays, "evidence" found), or hobby (longer stay, a few days, many pieces of "evidence" found), better yet, rooms with evidence and a "high number" of door actions (that charming electronic door lock...) Will a cl keep driving if the parking is tough to find? what hotels are best for location and parking? I have enjoyed the Extend stay & embassy suites, other then parking they are great. Catherine Albert and Bay is a very nice hotel, except that the front door is locked at around 10 p.m at night and the desk clerk has to buzz you in. Normally they ask the name of a guest,(if they need to ask) but a room number...extremely nosy if you ask me. The ES is very popular with escorts and hobbyists alike. Personally, I don't mind paying a few bucks for parking on a $180.00 - $250.00 date. :? Though more often than not, I'm a daytime or early evening, rather than a late customer. So don't know how badly things become for parking in the Elgin/Cartier area after 10 p.m. Hello all, To add to this topic of hotels I cam curious about parking. Not a big fan of driving around the Elgin area for 20 minutes trying to find a damn spot! Plus I find the hotels in the Elgin area aren't as nice as some of the ones in the actual downtown core. I like the hotels attached to public underground parking like the Minto suites, Also a decent down town lot is the World Exchange plaza for the hotels around Slater and Albert between Bank and Elgin.
