Xander MD 100 Report post Posted March 21, 2012 Thanks to everyone who responded to my last thread about credit cards - You've convinced me otherwise! Wondering if paypal is something that SPs in the area accept?
mod 135639 Report post Posted March 21, 2012 PayPal is not ADULT friendly. They use to be way before ebay bought them. Originally PayPal was known as www.x.com (Still owned by PayPal x.commerce division) but it was adult friendly at that time (but never for escorting - only adult processing for sites but payments could be put thru as "membership fees" and never questioned. If they catch you these days using paypal for anything adult (Including escorting and even accepting credit card payments for thinks like banners here on cerb) they freeze any funds in the account and put a MINIMUM 6 month hold on it. Also like credit cards the customer can ask for a REFUND saying anything like "the items never arrived" and it's pretty much impossible to dispute. Best thing for the ladies to do is cash only and avoid any scams as credit cards and stuff like paypal just invite scams (so most ladies will avoid such things) With a bank machine on almost every corner ... no excuse for not having cash these days. If you want a secure alternative to paypal that the ladies would probably go for.... interac email money transfers would be the way to go. The transfers are not realtime however (Can take a few hours to show up at times) but once deposited it's like putting cash in the bank.
Gabriella Laurence 301887 Report post Posted March 21, 2012 I have to agree with Mod on this one but also have to say that even though "cash is king" it is not always a feasible option for deposits and/or for gentlemen who prefer to pay in advance. Email transfers (to a discreet and non-SP-related email address) are a great way to deal with the above. It is also very convenient for both parties when a large amount is involved. Additional Comments: I just saw that mod added the email transfer as an option in his post... Hope my post doesn't sound repetitive.
backrubman 64800 Report post Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) I have to agree with Mod on this one but also have to say that even though "cash is king" it is not always a feasible option for deposits and/or for gentlemen who prefer to pay in advance. Email transfers (to a discreet and non-SP-related email address) are a great way to deal with the above. It is also very convenient for both parties when a large amount is involved... Additional Comments: I just saw that mod added the email transfer as an option in his post... Hope my post doesn't sound repetitive. I really like the idea of Interac email money transfers (used it for this purpose before and works great) and wish more SPs would accept this or offer it as an option. For those that wish to remain anonymous, cash is the only way... myself, the first time I meet an SP in any kind of private setting I always produce my driver's license or passport for inspection. Discreet is part of the arrangement and it always makes the lady more comfortable. Another method is that if the lady is well acquainted with you and happens to bank at the same institution, you can set her up as a payee for instant transfers (no delay what-so-ever or service charges) but I wouldn't recommend either approach except in a "professional" relationship where there is complete and total trust, but then complete and total trust is kind of one of my requirements anyways, just not going to be that way the first time you meet. Additional Comments: One thing I find really disturbing about cash is holding it. I don't like carrying large quantities of cash and even worse I think about the safety of a touring lady if she hasn't gotten to the bank to make a deposit in a few days. Once, we were going out to grab a coffee and I suggested, you best stash that money somewhere and when I saw were she did I offered to drive her to the bank to make a deposit which was gladly accepted. I'd take cash out of the equation completely if I could and I'm pretty certain some day we will. One final point: No shows, like who cares if the money is electronically transferred up-front. No longer a problem or concern - perfect! Edited March 21, 2012 by backrubman Additional comments
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted March 21, 2012 Cash is king, and is all I'll use for my encounters. I only used email money transfer once just recently when I had to cancel on a touring lady due to illness. But she received the donation in full. And email money transfer was the only way for me to pay her. Irrespective that it wasn't my fault that I became ill, the lady shouldn't lose out on her donation, it's also not her fault that she lost out on an encounter, just life happens. SamanthaEvans 166766 Report post Posted March 24, 2012 Thanks, Mod, for giving that history and info about PayPal. I will accept e-mail money transfers and will give a neutral-looking e-mail address, too, if the gentleman wants to send funds this way. However, ladies should know that it's not enough for the man to send the money transfer, you must also accept it for the transaction to be final. If you happen to delay accepting it until later, he can recover the funds. So, always accept the funds before the meeting. I would not accept payment by direct deposit because I would have to give my banking information, including my real name and address, to the other party. This may be acceptable with a well-known, established visitor, but I would prefer not to do it. E-mail transfers are great, but some gentlemen may not want to send money in advance of meeting, especially if they haven't met the companion before. It's a good way to arrange for deposits for meetings. I often do that, particularly if the meeting is booked weeks or months in advance, or if a visitor wants to book several meetings over a short period of time (which is common for guests from out of town). Secrets of Victoria 7208 Report post Posted March 24, 2012 I too, am in full agreement with the mod on this. I do have a paypal account, but that is for my 'other' life. The mod is absolutely right in the fact that paypal does not deal in anything that is adult related. If you want to take credit cards, open a merchant account with your banking or credit card company. You will have to have a business license in the province that you reside, but it can be worth it. You can also get a merchant account from some online companies, always worth looking into, just beware of anything that sounds too good to be true. I do accept email transfers, I think they are a great alternative to carrying cash. I will accept a payment the day before, so that the client knows that I received it. You know the client sent it, and the client knows you received it. I agree with backrubman on this, great way to deal with no-shows! I have it happen a lot, and if a person has pre-payed, then they are more likely to show. Saves a lot of time also. If your going through the effort of booking a time, then you should be paying for it ... every other service providing business has the statement of if you cancell without 24-48 hours notice (for example) a fee will be rendered (or something to that effect). In other words, they will charge you if you don't show, hotels do it if you don't show up, your credit card gets billed for the suite anyway, so why not either cancel in time or just show up? Thanks for this post, always good info on Cerb!
