roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) Nope- pubic hair doesn't repel blow jobs, poor hygiene does. Pubic hair doesn't decide whether or not I give blow jobs, in my professional or personal life, and never defines the quality of service ;) Many SPs are just not that judgemental if they like you! xoxooxxo Amelia On that same note, I know I am always freshly showered (and shaved:icon_wink:)...the showering, well in everyday life I shower, but especially in my intimate life I like to be clean too. As for the shaving, I like most of the ladies I see, and if lack of pubic hair makes an encounter all the more pleasant for the lady, well I'll be bald down there...matches my head too LOL I guess I try to do what I can for an encounter to be pleasant for everyone, I know the ladies I see (for the most part) do what they can to make encounters enjoyable for me, and it turns out most of the ladies I like, I do what I can for ladies I like RG Edited March 26, 2012 by r__m__g_uy
Maverick 2873 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 I keep it trimmed most of the time, and every once in a while I shave the balls smooth, just for my own enjoyment haha. I also use shampoo to clean my pubic hair instead of soap as it ends up being way softer.
nntsci 11076 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 Personally, I didn't even know that being hairy had gone out of fashion for men, until quite recently when an escort complained my hair... no one supplied us middle aged men with that memo. It used to considered sexy to be hairy. Recently, I heard a commedian talk about shaving his groin to make his member look bigger. I've also heard that men who body build shave their chest to give their muscle more definition -- not my scene. The idea of women shaving their nether regions is actualy quite a recent trend. Based on looking at playboy centre folds it looks like it started around 2000. Miss January 1999 has a nice blond bush, but miss Jan, 2000 had only a thin strip. It wasn't until 2007 that the girls were completely bare. Its an interesting social change. Anyone know why that has occured.

If we are using printed Pornography like Playboy as an indicator then I agree it probably would tend to indicate a changing trend (but that's a limited or specific vantage point of view). It is just in keeping with it slowly (or quickly depending on your point of view) becoming more and more hard core until it just can't get any more hard core. For a while there the trend seemed to be more, more, more until there just wasn't more to show. I guess when you've shown everything you possibly can you have to cut the lawn to go that little bit further but I'm no expert on Playboy or such magazines as I have rarely reviewed one. As good as some of the written content may be (pictures aside) you can't really read it on a plane :) I think the clean cut was almost ever present in videos and with the SPs for a very long time now, it's just simply neater and cleaner. I have met more than one career minded SP that has invested in laser hair removal (no small amount of money, time or trouble) but then in the long run no maintenance ever again. As expensive and time consuming as this is for the SP, it ultimately improves their safety as well, never again an ingrown hair to become infected and become a vector for other infections. Guest W***ledi*Time Report post Posted March 26, 2012 ... Its an interesting social change. Anyone know why that has occured. Desmond Morris explains it this way: " By the end of the twentieth century ... it was back in a big way, with a whole variety of different styles. This new trend began because of a change in swimsuit fashions. The lower line of beachwear was cut higher and higher (to make the legs look longer) and this resulted in a few stray pubic hairs emerging on either side of the now very narrow strip of cloth between the legs. These hairs looked ugly and were quickly trimmed away. This 'concealment' trimming set in motion an increasingly drastic reduction in pubic hair. More and more extreme styles appeared until, eventually, complete removal of every single hair became the ultimate quest of the fashionable." More about the removal of female pubic hair from Morris, who traces it back as far as the ancient Egyptians: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=194141
Jabba 18389 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 I tried going bald when I was younger. For me, it was the worst experience imaginable. The itching was incredible & incessant. I was squirming even when I walked...worse if I had to sit for any length of time. It must have been pretty damn amusing to see me walking like I had to take a wicked piss. I swore I would never clip the weeds again. I'm pretty particular about my hygiene, so I don't have any issues keeping a growth.

It was so hot I had to hide in the bush(behind trees) to masturbate to the nice view I had seen. Thanks for this thread to make me remember. I do trim Jim and the twin myself and at one point had a very sexy lady from here help with that, it was the best shave I have ever had.
luckybreak 1451 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 What's up with that? I thought the modern man looked after the boys! I had a vasectomy after my 3rd daughter 15 yrs ago and was told a complete shave 'nipples to knees' was required...not wanting some random orderly assuming that task when I arrived in pre-op I did it myself...glad I did 'cause the dude next to me didn't & I nearly pissed myself listening to him squeal ...:icon_biggrin: Ever since then my boys and the big guy never get too stubbly. Really guys its a hygeine thing thats a no brainer...smell, looks, etc ... this may be a little too specific but we men can't forget the bush in the crack of our ass either haha...OK I'm done. Christy...gotta tell you girl you are intoxicating and the next time this fellow maritimer overnights in Hfx I'm getting in touch with you ... pun intended:69:
Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 It's certainly not recent that women have been shaving as has already been elaborated on here.. I know for myself I was asked to shave for so many years.. and only relented in about 2001.. and was very late to do so! I did it for a boyfriend at the time because he enjoyed it in the magazines. When I offered to do it.. and asked him to shave me his eyes it up like a kid in a candy store. Once I had it done I never went back.. BUT.. before I did this.. I had the idea that shaving would make me look like a little girl and that turned me off. I refused to dress up like a school girl either.. but I well got over that hangup :) For some reason.. I still dislike the look of completely bare. I like a little ''landing strip" but back to the original question.. I like guys clean shaven.. face, balls and back if necessary lol.. but not chest. I find the shaven chest too irritating rubbing up on my skin.. which can happen with the groin area too if his hair is particularly course.. so if you have really course hair.. in my opinion don't do it at all! I think porn is the main reason people started shaving. You need the hair out of the way for good penetration images and scenes.. and then many people viewing porn followed suit.
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 Well I'll shave down there, but if chest hair is good enough for the one and only real James Bond, no razor goes near my chest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtEvsviIYSQ RG
loopie 15358 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 I give myself a haircut every couple months. Since my pubes grow in tight curls they don't really get intrusively long. I find whenever I trim it leaves me really sensitive, tingly and aware of my genitals; and so I get boners like nobodies business. If I were to shave it right down to the skin I would probably just be walking around with a constant erection.
zorobaby 4121 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 i do most times but not bald... i don't like feeling like a 5 years old (no offense to anyone who goes bald, thats just what i feel), i like to shave my boys and my shaft and trim the rest, just out of courtesy

As good as some of the written content may be (pictures aside) you can't really read it on a plane Ironically playboy has never really pushed the limits of taste or tried to make their photographs more revealing. It is the least revealing of the nudity magazines. Playboy has always placed more of an emphasis on the beauty of the woman, than on revealing her genitals. But with shaved genitals, the pictures are much more revealing today, though far less than other nudity magazines. So I was actualy rather surprised by this change when I purchased a subscription to playboy last year (for the first time in over 20 years).

yellow_dog 804 Report post Posted March 27, 2012 I remember an interview done with Shannon Nickerson, a professor of psychology at SMU in Halifax. During the interview she mentioned that men's pubic hair actually stimulates the clitoris, making for a more pleasurable ... experience for the woman. Any providers find that to be true?
