I still don't get why so many guys seem to be trolling CL looking for escorts. If someone is new to the hobby and doesen't know about CERB thats one thing, but those of us here on the board have all the resources we need right here. Yes some of our laddies adertise on CL but that isn't where we should be finding them.

 

CERB doesen't eliminate risk but it at least minimizes it in many ways.

Because Halifax & Fredericton doesn't have as many to choose from as say... Quebec, Ontario or Calgary... and no disrespect to the few that are around Halifax and Freddy, but some of us hobbiests do get bored and like to see what else is out there from time to time and discover new SP's/Diamonds in the rough who may not know anything about cerb and are legit (it does happen).

 

Besides... thats what TOFTT is all about. Cerb is a recommendation board.. we discover, we TOFTT and report back here when we find good ones.

 

Its only seen as 'trolling' or 'being a nuicanse' to the scammers when we discover them as being scammers and warn others about them (esp. when we don't give our credit card #'s and they get nothing out of it.)

Ohhhhh...........i am so sorry she carries a similar name to mine......Mr. Woody should be forbidden from touching the credit card......

we all live and learn....sorry for your experience....that is why you have to stick to CERB and not going wandering around the world with Mr Woody free to make the decisions....

I tend to advertise on CL from time to time, as I've only discovered this site through a local courtesan's page. The gals advertising here do definitely seem to be of high calibre, which is awesome.

 

And perusing here, I like the fact that there is more of a 'community' feel on this board, and a genuine friendliness, as I've not had any experience with any of the other boards.

 

Most of my contacts & clients have been through CL & I must say, I have gotten some lovely clients from there. I also don't post my number right away, but will state that once arrangements have been made that I will offer my contact number.

Dr Love, raises a good point, if there's no need to keep your trail clean, due to wife or SO, then you can use a credit card especially if you have a trust in the agency. The only risk involved here is that the agencies do not processes the payments traditionally the cc companies don't issue merchant numbers to escort agencies. So to get around that the agency must find a willing merchant or associate with valid account to process the payment, wich is usually done for a fee wich get's passed on to you, so you end up paying more for the same serivice.

 

It's also risky because everytime your number is passed along to another person you risk the chance of having your cc info comprimised.

 

It's best to hobby with cash. If you're using the card as a means of creative financing then use it to get a cash advance at a bank machine rather than risk having the card comprimised.

 

As an add-on - one risk not mentionned earlier - the credit card companies keep a close eye on some of these "transactions" - I actually had a call from the credit card company at home - luckily I picked up the phone - NEVER AGAIN :shock: - the risk is not worth it.
