Cara Silver 32412 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 I was thinking the other day about how long I've been on cerb, about 3.5 years, and how much I've changed. Then I looked back at my very first posts and reminisced about where I was in life in 2008. My first two posts are pretty dorky. I remember being shy and hesitant about posting because I'd been on the other boards and never felt they were healthy, welcoming sites. And then cerb came along... So different and I felt at home right away. Here are my first two posts: #1 New to Halifax Hello everyone, I'm new to Halifax and I want to meet new people! I was working in Edmonton and decided to relocate. Everyone's made me feel so welcoming so far, I know I'll find the same here... Feel free to pm me or write here! xoxo Amelia #2 I'm trying to post photos but have no idea how! Can someone enlighten me? Duuuhhhhh :) What was your first post and how have you changed? xo AM

Gabriella Laurence 301887 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Amelia :) My first introduction post was an ad for Montreal back in January 2009. I also scheduled my first official visit to Ottawa as Miss Cloe back in February 2009 and I've been hooked since :) I will always remember that first visit... It was "menage a trois frenzy" with Kyra lol Not long after I met Emma and I've been hooked since too!
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) Well I started here on CERB in Feb 2010. I can't find my first post, I think it was something about terms and what they stood for. I was absolutely new to this lifestyle (in fact my first time wouldn't be till July 2010, that's when I lost my "lifestyle virginity" LOL) and it was a major decision for me to enter the lifestyle...but a decision I am very happy I made. I learned the stereotypes the public have, are nothing close to the reality of this lifestyle. Strange, considering the stereotypes, all I have met are ladies or SP's. I haven't seen or met a whore or prostitute in this lifestyle, but to "society" in general, they would have you believe that is what this lifestyle entails, along with johns I tried some of the other boards, I dropped them, and just stayed with CERB. What I like most of all is how CERB is a recommendation board, not a review board and strives to maintain a positive atmosphere (hats off to the Mod and Council for that) As for my postings I try to be positive, treat others with respect. And in this lifestyle, I treat the ladies the same way, with respect As for partaking in this lifestyle, well every encounter, whether it's seeing a lady (and yes, all I've seen are ladies) for the first time, or a repeat encounter for the second, third, fourth or fifth time, I still get the pre date nervousness/excitement in anticipation of meeting (sometimes again) a lady that interests me Some quick ramblings RG Additional Comments: And I found the very first thread I posted, god was I naive and dumb LOL Newbie Here-First Post This is my first post after registering a few days ago. Not only am I new to Cerb, never been (yet) with an sp I do have a couple questions. Apologies if they sound dumb. First, I know what ymmv stands for but exactly what does it mean. If your a late middle aged man, doesn't work out at the gym, do you get a less enthusiastic encounter than a 20 something man...or what. Just not clear how objective/subjective a term it is. Second, if dealing with an agency, how fair is it money wise for the sp. Are the sp's doing the work and someone else making all the money (thought running through my mind is some pimp making all the money, don't know if that is true or not...maybe I watch too much Law and Order). Is it better to deal with an independant. My last question, for now, if you use a cell phone solely for your phone, is that aceptable to provide the sp when setting up an appointment. I know blocked phone numbers/payphones not allowed, but is a cell phone ok Thanks for now RG Edited April 17, 2012 by r__m__g_uy
Cara Silver 32412 Report post Posted April 17, 2012 Here is one of my early posts from December 08 when I used to do monthly themes: January's theme?? Who wants to help me decide on January's theme? I'm stuck between Arabian nights and 1940s glamour. Would you guys prefer the mysterious but slightly albino exotic? Or the sexy and glamorous movie starlet? Let me know!! I have to go shopping, I'm so excited! Howthe hell was I going to pull off Arabian nights?? I can't imagine suggesting such a thing now! I guess I was slightly more naive back then. Now I'm a grim realist :motion:
Boomer 33202 Report post Posted April 17, 2012 I took a membership here in March 2006 and was primarily a lurker then. I went back to take a look and found that the archive doesn't go back that far, but it would be interesting to see my first steps in this community. Athos 108589 Report post Posted April 17, 2012 I joined in 2008, although I had been a member of other sites before and after. Initially I lurked and it wasn't until May of 2009 that I posted. My first post was in a Ottawa strip club thread, commenting on a fun evening I had at Barbs. I had a couple of trips to Ottawa around that time, so that was followed by a couple of posts in recommendation threads of some of Ottawa's fine ladies. I then seemed to have lurked again for quite a while. CERB isn't very active for the area of Ontario that I normally live, but my year long sojourn in Newfoundland has brought me back to CERB. I'm very glad to have rediscovered this community and made new friends. Porthos

drlove 37204 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 If I remember correctly, my first post was a simple introduction. (it's been awhile! lol) Anyway, I'd been posting on another board since 2001, and came across Cerb quite by accident. I'm glad I did, though! :)
Cato 160314 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) My first post was an effort to find a dancer that I really liked but had lost track of: Daniela at Nuden. It got lots of hits but no replies, and no, I never found Daniela again. :( http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=6425 If anybody knows where Daniela is, please tell her I'd still like to see her :) Edited April 19, 2012 by Cato
Guest ****ven Report post Posted April 19, 2012 Well my first post is pretty boring and I suppose typical ;P sp posting advertising? As an sp, and a new user, how does one post an advertisement, and which forum is appropriate to do so? Lol, followed by an ad minutes later......more then 3 years ago holy time flies. Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 My first post on the general area was on the would you want to know thread... and interesting thread that caught my attention! http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=43986&postcount=53 "A couple years ago when I moved to Toronto from Ottawa.. my mover emailed me after the move to tell me he knew who I was and that he was a fan.. and had one of my magazines. Personally I was grateful he told me after the fact rather than during the move. I had only recently started doing porn at the time so wasn't that well known! what a small world. Now it happens to me more often that people I know book me. I had a client last week that was 20 years old and had met several times thru a friend's friend. I think he would have been 15 or so when we first met. I laughed and said you can now literally say you've been with your mom's hot friend! I prefer that a client just smile and nod when in public. I once had a client say hi to me in a grocery store and my boyfriend (now an ex) and his son were right around the corner! awkward.. I had to whisper to him to go away right away.. cat 262460 Report post Posted April 20, 2012 My first post was April 16, 2008 and it was back when we could post on our own Recommedation Threads! I guess I have always been a little wordy... "Thank you both so much! I appreciate the delicate way in which these compliments were paid; I know that posting a review can be a challenge if you try to keep it tasteful. As many of you know, when I first encountered the review boards I was shocked that so much information was given, but after reading the posts I realized the intention is good. I don't have a DO NOT REVIEW; I prefer the acronym DNRD, DO NOT REVEAL DETAILS. I also realize how valuable these boards are to the guests who use the services of companions. It has always disgusted me when I heard stories of the types of cons and rip-offs that go on, and that there was no professional accountability on the side of the SP's, and I am glad there is somewhere to go to do the necessary research to protect your hard earned dollar, and ensure you have a good experience. I would not have a problem with a post that suggested ways to improve my service. I enjoy the comments the members make, and have found many gems that have been added to my already extensive list of games. As antlerman so kindly pointed out, I am not a spring chicken, and thank goodness for that! Playtime has improved exponentially with the passing of time, and I have more fun now than I would have ever imagined. Once again gentlemen, thanks..." cat
Kyra.Graves 23779 Report post Posted April 30, 2012 (posting on Cerb that is) It was in a question thread - Do SP's go Gaga over Clients? My post... I wouldn't say I go Gaga over anyone but there are certainly clients that can brighten my day/week and ones that I think about when they are not around. Sometimes it's nice to revisit the events of your time together, to replay the good moments in your head. When that client calls again I'll start to anticipate our next encounter and have a smile on my face for a few days while I wait. As far as what gives me that feeling, it varies but it all comes down to that certain connection that allows me to escape in the fantasy and forget that I'm working. I don't even remember making that post it was so long ago but the sentiment still rings true.
