Guest gagagaga Report post Posted January 23, 2009 I've seen girls actually sit still in the middle of the stage while all the guys in the club watched the big screen.
rick_falcon 911 Report post Posted January 23, 2009 Similar here too. A girl doing her show on stage actually stopped and started arguing with 2 guys sitting around the stage because they were talking instead of watching her.

the lurker 160 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 Great stories here! Once at Barb's late on a Thursday nite after seeing way too many regulars and slightly tipsy, one lady comes over. I've known her for years and start talking about the old days. Out of the blue she starts talking about the Casino over in Hull. I can tell she is passionate about it, but thought nothing of it. Then she asks if I would like to take her there. I'm like "it's almost 2AM. Don't they close early on weeknights?" Well apparently they don't. So off we are in her Fav drivers car to the Casino. 2 Am with folks just like us pouring in. 10 feet in the door she asks for 200 bucks. Hmm why did I go off to the ATM? Well bored, drunk and having fun I guess. For hours I am sitting at the Black Jack tables laughing my ass off like I was in a movie. It was so surrealistic. Almost like a trip. By end she was up a hundred and she finally pushes away from the tables. Time to go. She hands me back my money and says "thanks Babe" and plants a wet one. The best part was when we left though. In a cab going home after hittin up Mikkie D's for an early start and dropping her off, the cabbie notices I am not getting out. He turns to me as says "sorry man." LMAO. So I tell him "better this way. Her BF would beat me something bad!" The look on his face was priceless. Moral of the story. Have fun at the rippers! Cowboy kenny 50799 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 This thread is taking a bit of an ugly turn here, it wasn't meant to mock the fine dancers of our fair city, I believe dancers and strip clubs offer a unique outlet and opportunity. From back in the day when the cowboy worked in the finer clubs, strip clubs were about fantasy and just that and this was before the days of lap dances with liberal touching that we have now. For some men the fantasy is the turn on and there's no need to take it any further while some like to seal the deal, to each his own. Lurker has it right though don't go in with any expectations and you'll be surprised how much fun or mileage you will leave with. The long and short of it between the percieved economic downturn and the bus strike these ladies are feeling the pinch.
Kubrickfan 12836 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 I cant wait to get back to Barbs in a few weeks when I'm back in town. I'll remember some of the times I've spent at Barbs for the rest of my life.
E.D. man 691 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 The most recent memory I have is with a hot blonde at Taboo who did a little extra which was cool. Licking the pie was cool but expensive per song. Were lucky to have the Quebec side so close. Chapagne rooms are still legal there.:-o:boobies:
simon_templar 161 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 Just wanted to acknowledge Cowboy's comments. I fear that the story I related earlier may have taken away from the essence of the original post!My intent in sharing my experience was in essence....just that; taking the opportunity to "bond" with my fellow posters about some of my memories of various clubs. Although my story referred to a somewhat unpleasant experience, I have had several (truth be told.....more than several)positive ones. As well, I wanted to agree with a couple of the comments made about the sense of "romantacism" that exists in the "cabarets". Although, I suspect that men in general are a little recalcitrant in admitting same... that most of us have an ego and spending some time with the company of an attractive woman who is interested in you provides us with a siginificant "boost". I know from first hand experience that some of the ladies have chosen this path in order to make a better life for themselves and their families. And for that, they have earned my respect, admiration and applause. Although I have met some "unscrupulous" types working in these clubs, I have always found that most of the ladies are often more sincere than some of the "tin men" I have had trying to sell me aluminum siding, life insurance policies and NORTEL shares. My last relationship was with a dancer and although it was "tough going" at various intervals...I always respected her for trying to make a life for herself and her child. I appreciate that these comments and "a loonie will probably buy you a bagel"...but I do have to reiterate Mr. Kenney's comments about spending some time if you can afford it! Many of the ladies are worth it!!!
PistolPete 61421 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 The thread was going in the wrong direction, I wanted to know some of the financial costs associated with visiting a strip club. Yes the fantasy walking in the door years back was simply marvelous, because of the closed champagne rooms, and the freedom of choice for men and ladies back then. I really don't know if a open dance area in todays world, really I will assist the fine ladies if I can. For those that responded to my 5 questions thanks...and of course thanks to CK for his plead to help fine ladies in strip clubs.....buffett for 2 bucks:?: better set a day aside next week. This thread is taking a bit of an ugly turn here, it wasn't meant to mock the fine dancers of our fair city, I believe dancers and strip clubs offer a unique outlet and opportunity. captain 160 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 Not all strip clubs are doing bad.... my local club owner said booze sales are off the charts, however, as you say, many of the girls are suffering, and I do not doubt that. You can buy 4 beers for the price of a dance, and watch them dance for free on stage... right? anyway, I posted this article here... http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=38196#post38196
