Kate von Katz 49953 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 An agency here in Ottawa has been caught yet again using old images of me on an online ad. I contacted the site and they told me I must prove they are me and show originals, which I do not have. I don't keep old images. But it's very obviously me, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. So the online classified site is refusing to remove the images, and I have not been able to reach this agency. What's a pissed off girl to do? I'm practically retiring in two days and I sure as hell will not stand for some no-class agency trying to use my likeness as a bait&switch! Help!! But way worse for the agency is the bad PR, I'd forward the details on to the Cowboy, he is just about as smart as a rocket scientist and should be able to figure it out and they will quickly cry uncle if he does. http://www.cowboysdiary.info/
Kate von Katz 49953 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 CK is the one who notified me this morning. I'm currently asking his permission to link ti his blog in an ad I intend to put on BP mentioning the misappropriation of photos and bait&switches. Sort of a "hey, we know it's going on, now you can know in advance and save yourself the time/money". Besides, his blog should be more advertised, I think! Saved countless guys from Gods-know-what kind of awful. Posted via Mobile Device
backrubman 64800 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 CK is the one who notified me this morning.... Well if the "agency" knows CK is on to them then (and has the goods on them) they should back off pretty quick unless they are crazy. His diary packs a punch, way more heat than they need. We've seen people try to stand against the truth before, didn't work out so well for them.
spud271 47779 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 I saw the ad and was curious as to what was going on! CK is probably the best person to deal with at this point, he should be able to help you out. This is why I have been posting the link to his page for the last few weeks, he does great work! Now that it has been identified that they are using photos against your permission, word will get around Emerald that they are a bait and switch agency. Hopefully they will stop using your photos. Kate von Katz 49953 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 Thay are absolutely a disreputable agency. So much so, in fact, that I strongly doubt they know of Cerb, let alone CK's blog. All I care about at this point is being able to expose these weasels to as many people as possible, and if CK agrees, I would happily pay for advertising for his blog on this cllassifieds site. backrubman 64800 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 Thay are absolutely a disreputable agency. So much so, in fact, that I strongly doubt they know of Cerb, let alone CK's blog. While I recognize that for many ladies the requirements of being independent are more than they can or are willing to manage I have always felt that some agencies take more than their fair share without doing enough in return for both the ladies that work for them or their clients. A "disreputable agency" needs to go and in fact will not survive in the long term against competition from more reputable agencies. Of course if the agency is using bait and switch and it is exposed, that should help them on their way to oblivion quite nicely.
Cowboy kenny 50799 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 They know about cerb and they know about my blog, they featured prominently in it last year for a number of different reasons. You can read about it here http://www.cowboysdiary.info/wordpress/?p=2794 They wanted the posting removed, They threatened me if I did not take it down. They claimed they had no idea that they were dupped by the girl who gave them the photo, so I complied briefly and removed the posting. But then I became aware of of some other questionable tactics and interesting management style that I put the posting back up, I knew I had been lied too. Sadly Emerald is not the only former escort of this questionable agency to have to deal with this matter, so gentlemen beware if this is how they treat their women, what exactly are they doing with your personal information you leave with them to book and appointment.
Rassilon 982 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 (edited) Sending advice via PM. Wrote big long message, worried the agency in question will see it. Do not how to delete message so I edited entire thing. Edited May 27, 2012 by Rassilon Realized this would not help if posted publically.
