Jabba 18389 Report post Posted June 8, 2012 Ok, so the title may be a little misleading. Sorry about that. Does anyone know where I can get dry, whole Cedar logs in, or around the West end of Ottawa? If I have to travel, rural is ok too.

In the west end I would try White Lake near Pakenham. There's is or was a saw mill. You could also try BARR Lumber on your way out of Pakenham. I have seen in the east end on Fifth Line road a place that stock cedar planks and logs. Hope it helps.
Rodehard 2058 Report post Posted June 11, 2012 Having been involved in the trades for years and always in search of good quality lumber I would suggest that you contact Lanark Cedar near Perth Ontario. They have been around for years and would likely be able to source what yuo are looking for. Nothing like the smell of "wood"... Rodehard
