Guest N***he**Ont**y Report post Posted June 17, 2012 (edited) Woman charged with mischief after abduction story found to be made up Posted 1 day ago A Greater Sudbury woman has been charged with mischief after officers checking into her allegation that she was abducted by a man Friday night was found to be made up. Police say a 21-year-old woman contacted police about 11:15 p.m. Friday to report she had been abducted in the New Sudbury area by a lone male driving a van. A very good description of the man, van and its licence plate were provided. The man was located shortly after and he was arrested. The investigation, however, determined that the woman and man both knew each other, she was involved in prostitution, the abduction never occurred, and she was in the van of her own free will. The woman called police and made the false abduction allegation. following an argument. The woman was charged with mischief and was released on an undertaking.
