Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted June 19, 2012 I have two bluetooth earsets.. one is plantronics and the other is motorola. Both were used with other phones and so long ago I don't recall where their packaging items are. I looked up resetting and in both cases.. turn on til blue light is flashing and then turn off power button with turning volume down button at same time. http://www.ehow.com/how_6935849_reset-plantronics-bluetooth.html Didn't work. On plantronics I also reset it by following these instructions. (Reset other Plantronics Bluetooth headsets like the Backbeat Model by plugging it into the AC adapter and then holding the "Power" button down until you see a solid blue or red light.) That worked.. but my iphone is still not reading it.. any suggestions?

With Motorola it usually means holding down the button a longer time until the light turns solid blue. With other devices you might have to look up the manual on the net (it's almost always there). Once you have the bluetooth device in pairing mode, then on the phone you have to tell it to go looking for new bluetooth devices and when it finds it you may have to enter the "pin" to make it pair up. The pin is most often '0000' or '1234' :) It sounds like you know how to make the iPhone go looking, so I'd say you just aren't getting the bluetooth devices in pairing mode (broadcasting their presence and availability to join up) which you have to do first :) Then select the device when the iPhone finds it and tell it you want to pair and enter the pin. Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted June 19, 2012 Yahoo! Thanks! It's been so long since I used a bluetooth I had forgotten. For the Plantronics 510 Voyager: Pressing and holding down the call control button and holding down the volume up at the same time until the indicator light on the headset starts flashing red then blue. Guest S*rca****sid Report post Posted June 21, 2012 You have to set the headset to "Discoverable" mode and change the settings on your phone to search for the headset. Here are the links to instructions on how to set, one for the headset and the other for iPhone: https://support.apple.com/kb/ht1664 http://www.headsetsdirect.com/plantronics-voyager-510-bluetooth-pairing-instructions If you have any problems, let me know.
