A question for the guys that do mostly out calls to Hotels ?

 

on average how much do you spend on hotels, can you use an expense account dose that cost limit your hobbying?

All of my hobbying is done away from "home town" and mostly involves a hotel room! at 90 to 120 for the room for an average hotel then meals and taxes on top of that it is easy to spend as much on accommodations as the "date"!!! (that is one reason i save for longer appointments). I can about half the time use an expense account although that is decresing as the company tightens up, and with my own busines I can deduct most of the rest form the tax man but that dosent help much..

 

I can almost afford to rent a small apartment in the city to use for hobby dates but that would raise some questions, as seperate as ourfinances are I am sure that it would eventually come up :)

 

Has any one else thought about arrangeing a "time share" agreement with 2 or 3 other hobbiest to rent a small to med size Apt as a plase to hobby and save on Hotel cost?

I'm usually in the $160 - $180 range. I'm self employed thus I can "approve" my own expense claim, so I like to book nice rooms. I always look for deals but whether I am "entertaining" or not on a business trip I like my comfort. All my hobbying is out of town.

Here in Ottawa, i have an arrangement with a bachelor pad with a few other members and it has worked out great so far, and now i'm looking to do this in Montreal. This set up was very difficult to get started, but once you find and trust the right people, it benefits all.

Hotwire is your friend too, it will offer significant savings off the cost of a hotel room and you can get a nice hotel. I know last time I was looking at Ottawa rates I found on average I was getting 3.5-4star downtown hotels for approx. $50-70inclusive. Of course this varies with day of the week and if there are events going on but in general you'll find it's pretty easy to find a nice hotel at a very reduced rate.

 

I use hotwire almost exclusively when in Toronto as the rates are often greater than 60% off the hotel website rates and I find it no hassle when checking in and out.

 

Depending on how often you were to do an outcall and what the costs of a furnished suite with cleaning, laundry services, etc. it might actually be cheaper to book using these types of booking services.

Hotels are expensive, so I can appreciate the dilemma this poses for some.

 

Escorts do different things, depending on their comfort level, so whether that would make a difference for you could be a factor.

 

Personally, I don't do many outcalls. I do see some out of town clients in downtown hotels. I never see clients in their own homes. I don't think I would be comfortable seeing a new client anywhere other than my home or a four or five-star hotel.
