nntsci 11076 Report post Posted September 29, 2017 Tragedy averted... I collected the mail today, got the 407 bill, paid it and quickly ripped it up. My wife does know there is a bill for the 407 (I drove her to the airport), but she will never see the little detail of the extra $9 (plus tax) it cost to travel down the 407 towards Hamilton and then to Niagara for an overnight stay will a lovely lady... not her. I've taken steps to make sure it doesn't happen again... I've set up an automatic payment and electronic notification to prevent that sort of thing from happening again... Tyler32 230 Report post Posted September 29, 2017 Not a faux on my part, but I was caught in the crossfire once. About 12 years ago I was working in a smaller IT firm as a network administrator, and just about anything else connected to it. I came in one Monday morning and the VP asked me to come see him once I got settled in. I walk into his office and there's a stack on SP ads printed out from Montreal. He pushes them across the desk. I pick em up and ask him if we are going to Montreal for a business trip and if I get my pick.... He laughs and says he wants me to find out who it was. Turns out the person was VPN's to our network at night after a few cognacs and was printing SP's adds out. They weren't printing at his house so he thought something was wrong and just kept hitting "print.. print" on these adds. They were printing just fine... off the office's main printer! I found out who it was easily (in fact my guess was right) but made up some story about how they were using a proxy and its not worth putting our other objectives on hold while I dig further. I convinced him to just let it go and if it comes up again we'll pull whoever it is in for a chat. Word of this spread through the office, and that person was careful from then on... I got a lot of respect for the way I handled it. Im no rat. No one was getting hurt and its not worth blemishing a solid career for something that should be legal.
Gregsand 6116 Report post Posted October 4, 2017 I recall an odd experience that could either be described as a blunder or a complete failure in communication. It was over a decade ago when phone-chat used to be a thing. I was chatting with a woman and we agreed to meet once for casual sex. During the conversation she said a few things that felt odd but I never really picked up on. So, I got a room at a motel and we enjoyed a good 45 minutes together. After we were done, she got dresses and asked me where the money was. I was confused and asked her what she was talking about and she explained being an SP. I replied it was never part of our conversation and she stormed out of the room, kicked my car door and drove off with hers. She didn't actually damage my car other than smudge some dirt on it and I just started laughing. Was not the first time I ended up talking to an SP on phone-chat, it was quite common in those days. But she was the first who never spoke of it directly in the hope I would decode her double talk. Also, the fact she waited at the end before saying a word was mindboggling. Even with arrangements, they would require to see the money or at least the enveloppe before we started. It definitely made me more cautious on other blind dates. LOL To be clear, my intent was never to take advantage of her. This happened in the early 2K's and I've been occasionally seeing SP's since the early 90's. So, I was familiar with working girls. To put things in context, SP's were not welcomed on phone-chat dating systems. The reason was the way the system worked. Men had to pay to send and receive voice mails and for woman it was free. This created potential for abuse and there was a lot of it. I had no problems opening a newspaper to call an SP. But when I paid for an expensive phone dating service and end up with an SP, I blocked and flagged her. So, the one I met was careful not to mention it on the chat. But once we exchanged numbers and talked on the phone, she never came clean other than vague winks. I got no problems with honest straight talk. Not sure what she was thinking , other than being a "rookie mistake". Hopefully she learned something from it.
Kilt Boy 29353 Report post Posted October 6, 2017 This just happened and everyone in the office is laughing. I'm a bit of a smartass. Always have been. I'm quick-witted, have a good memory for killer lines, and can easily connect things together for humorous effect. A guy I've never met was in the office today making casual conversation and joking with everyone. I joined in and shut him down every time with a much funnier line. After a while, he said, "You know, I'm not used to being the straight man." I said, "Then be funnier." He looked like someone had just stepped on his foot and everyone fell over laughing. It took him about 10 seconds of spluttering, trying to come up with something to top that before he stuck out his hand for me to shake. #winning Well, it turns out this is the director for our department.

She actually made two errors, not making it clear that cash was required and not asking for it before the session began.
fr33yay0 1172 Report post Posted October 10, 2017 My biggest? easy... I had been separated for a bit... I was going to try cerb/lyla for my third/fourth time... I sent messages to a beautiful SP. Back and forth for 2-3 days.. then she confirmed everything and wanted a quick phone call (since I am new, still don't have much in the way of contacts yet. Which again, I obliged. Phone rang, picked it up... had a totally awkward conversation. You going to come by and see me? yeah? 10 oclock? yeah? ok? why 10? because that's what we agreed upon? what's going on? I don't know, what's going on with you? Turns out, this was an unknown number calling from the local gym. I had put in a request for personal training and she was the trainer calling me for date/times. But at the same time, I was waiting for the call from the SP. LOL Anyways, after coming to my sense mid-call... I doubled back and it was fine. LOL
Gregsand 6116 Report post Posted October 10, 2017 She actually made two errors, not making it clear that cash was required and not asking for it before the session began. I know. But considering the optics made it look as if I took advantage of her, I just wanted to be clear on what happened. And on top of two mistakes you mentioned, she also used the wrong medium to advertise her services. She put so much effort hiding her true intention, she ended up forgetting to mention what she actually wanted.
Kilt Boy 29353 Report post Posted January 9, 2018 I started a new job 6 months ago in a department with a guy I used to live with 20 years ago. I've been avoiding him because I'm embarrassed about why I moved out. It's been really awkward when I see him, and I dread the day I have to explain that I just didn't want him to find out that I was sleeping with his girlfriends when he wasn't around. What's the worst that can happen? I think the potential for disastrous calamity is huge.
Kilt Boy 29353 Report post Posted January 9, 2018 It's been so long ago,is he still with her?It help to remember that people care about themselves more then why a roommate left 20 years ago.. He's married, but I have no idea what her name is and can't remember all the names of his girlfriends. I'm a monster. I just imagine what would happen if his wife was one of them. nntsci 11076 Report post Posted January 22, 2018 I'm seeing this escort who had to move back into her parents home due to economic conditions. They still seem to think of her as a little child (she is 30), and are demanding and overprotective (and nuts). She told me that once her dad nearly attacked an Uber driver who he thought was her date, but she managed to defuse the situation. I usually pick her up at a restaurant near her home and drop her off at some shopping plaza or whatever (she really likes shopping, which might explain the economic issue). Anyway one week she thought no one would be home so she told me to drop her off at home. As we near the address she realizes that her parents are not only home, but on the front porch. To late to change her mind, she tells me to drive right up to the house, and as she is getting out, says "Thanks Uber". Gee he looked angry, but it worked.

Gregsand 6116 Report post Posted January 22, 2018 Lots of Uber clients use the front seat. I agree that part is irrelevant. The problem is her parents treating her like a teenager. If you want to continue with that arrangement with her, the best would be to avoid them completely. The less they know about you, better off you'll be.

nntsci 11076 Report post Posted June 11, 2018 my latest blunder. I've been seeing this lady for about 1 year now, regularly... so regularly she calls herself my sugar baby... anyway, I took her to a nice hotel in Oakville where we enjoyed a Jacuzzi bath together etc.. (note that a Jacuzzi in the room was only 136 in Oakville, 220 in Brampton, and about 450 in Toronto). We had a great time. She had a lot of stuff with her because she was going to a BBQ party with friends after seeing me, and she had trouble closing on of her bags so I helped. 2 days later after our date, I found a t-shirt in my van on the floor of the passenger side and realized it was hers (it smells so nice). Yikes. My wife had used my van on Sunday to go shopping. I also found a bottle of some sort of makeup. Fortunately I found them before my wife, but that was a close call. Note to self check van over after each date.
