How does one clear the "Your Notification: 1" (top right). I have clicked on it and selected the appropriate message type and read the message. But the indicator still shows "1".

Could the reason be that the person who sent the message has a moderated account?

I think that's the case Jafo... you have to go to the individual message and either accept it or delete it.

I am going to assume two things here: One that this is a guestbook notification you are referring to and two that said message is from a member whose messages still need to be approved.

If my above assumptions are correct you will need to "approve" the message. There will be a small box on the upper right (I believe) of the message in question click it. After doing this scroll to the bottom of your guestbook messages there you will find an icon in which to approve or delete said message. Assuming you have selected the message and assuming that my previous statement is correct once you hit "approve" you should be all set.

If this does not work go out into your front yard and look at the sky while waving your hands above your head and start screaming "how do I approve my messages." Eventually a passerby will have the answer.

I don't think I ever get my message approval right. I can see them but when I do it, it just gives me an error that I haven't selected anything to be approved, so assuming they show up to others.

I think maybe in settings you either have it set that you have to approve them or not?

A neighbor once stood all afternoon in his yard, staring up at the trees. He ended up in a psych ward for several weeks.
