Lowdark 5613 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 So with an NHL lockout looking inevitable, I was curious what all the restless hockey fans out there are planning on doing with their time until the NHL opens its doors again? Any suggestions? I know we fans always say we won't come back having been taken for granted, but eventually we're drawn back to that beautiful sheet of white ice. So how will you be spending your Saturday nights in the absence of Coach's Corner?
PistolPete 61421 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Personally, I enjoy the NFL season September through to Super Bowl into January. I will miss the NHL hockey (if they are locked out), but the football will be enough, plus seeing some ladies that can tackle me during the down time ;)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Beautiful sheet of ice...for this guy, a sheet of ice is only good in the winter if it is covering a lake to go ice fishing. NHL lock out, doesn't bother me one bit. Just hope the winter is cool enough this year coming so the ice is thick enough to walk out on and fish through safely. mrrnice2 157005 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 I am with Pete all the way on this. Football all the way. CFL now and can hardly wait for the NFL to kickoff on Wednesday night. I normally watch almost no hockey until playoffs start anyway, other than an occassional period here and there. Perhaps if the lockout is long enough they will just go to a series playoff rounds. :)
