justaguy77 100 Report post Posted October 9, 2012 Maybe it is just me. The main reason I say this is because I would almost never go to a parlour. I have spent my whole life in ottawa and don't feel comfortable walking in and out of places that scream rub and tug. I know too many people in the city. Maybe a whole seperate board is too drastic and I am the only person with this problem. I just think the difference between a parlour and an indy girl is strong enough to warrant some sort of distinction.
antlerman 17064 Report post Posted October 10, 2012 I do not see your point here..... How would a seperate board make any difference if the girl is indy or with a parlor? Posted via Mobile Device
Kathryn Bardot 99339 Report post Posted October 10, 2012 I think he means a different advertising section, not a whole new board. It can be difficult, especially when you're browsing via a mobile device, to tell if someone is an independent provider or works from a spa/parlour. A little reading does go a long way, especially checking posting history or the "I am a..." box in the provider's profile.
antlerman 17064 Report post Posted October 10, 2012 I do 90% of my searches with a tiny iphone screen and have no problems with surfing the mobile edition of cerb or any other board. If you just search ottawa it is a small enough selection to figure it out. Posted via Mobile Device
IsaMassage 54318 Report post Posted October 10, 2012 Also all those questions are answered, when u either visit the ladies profile, or on their recos, it normalky says if they are independent or work out of a studio... Or if you are interested in someone in particular something as simple as a pm asking them would work.., i really dont think is that hard to distiguish one from the other... And also there is parlors where people would not even notice you there since they r located in office buildings where parking is shared with many other businesses but at the same time the traffic inside the building is also very low.... And btw..., ottawa is a very small town and i m sure lots of us here know a lot of people! :-)

I understand your concern sir, but fear not, people in Ottawa are very understanding when it comes to maintaining discretion. This is after all, a political town. Everyone has something to hide. If I were completely politically paranoid, the only time when someone is outed, is when they piss-off someone higher than they (them?). Or, alternatively, if someone has a political agenda or interest. What I'm saying is, IMO it doesn't matter if you go to a parlour or an indy. If someone is out to embarrass you, they will find a way regardless of your massage choices. Good luck J.

I've visited a few spas (and indies) and none of the spas scream rub and tug. And i also know a few people around town. As others mentioned, reading is key. Besides, spas and ladies working out of said spa all have a paid account, which show easily through the browser (the handle is bold red letters). I also think isolating the two doesnt make sense. One look at the massage section and i know who is on.
herelookin 3510 Report post Posted October 11, 2012 don't feel comfortable walking in and out of places that scream rub and tug. I do understand your concern but I have seen a flow of traffic coming from independents that scream the same thing to neighbours. I do not think I have been at a spa, here in the city, that didn't take the utmost care to protect an individual's privacy. I have been more at ease with my privacy visiting some spas than independents. My 2 cents... but find what you are comfortable. Good luck.

Meg O'Ryan 266444 Report post Posted October 11, 2012 I would appreciate some easy indication of whether a lady is independent or not. If not a whole section, then at least some sign visible from the main ad page. Easy peasy...agency ladies appear in red as they must pay to advertise.
Sensual Erin 33935 Report post Posted October 11, 2012 I think one more click for the lady you're interested in on the advertising page is required? I looked and it is hard to tell from the main page. So one more step I think? Easy peasy...agency ladies appear in red as they must pay to advertise. Bethany Westbrooke 7532 Report post Posted October 15, 2012 Easy peasy...agency ladies appear in red as they must pay to advertise. Not all red advertising ladies work at a spa though, some are indy's as well... If only it were that easy...
tantric 350 Report post Posted October 16, 2012 I do understand the point being made but I think that a MP just telling you that they are independent seems sufficient to me, but I do appreciate that you are nervous about going in a spa type establishment , but really they are pretty much located off the beat and track. I never worry as they seem pretty much low key. After all that being said I don't see a need to make a new section.

If a special flag that distinguishes indies from spa attendants, that would be appreciated.
Sensual Erin 33935 Report post Posted October 16, 2012 This is a free site for most of us on here. There are banners from the agencies and indies, the paid advertisers are marked in red, and a little bit of homework goes a long way.... ;) I would like to see them separated. I prefer Indy's as more privacy.

If a special flag that distinguishes indies from spa attendants, that would be appreciated. They could actually be independent yet work out of a spa. I've known a couple who offered incalls by renting space at an mp and paying the management their standard room fee. I kind of assume if the individual is posting ads for herself, that is still a level of independence, versus the business posting ads for their spa. It still gives you the client the opportunity to deal directly with the MA. I would assume she would be up front about her incall arrangements knowing she isn't offering a private location?

Just like you said..., I work out of luna locations., yet I do my own advertising to help myself, and yes I always tell my clients that my incalls are out of a Commercial stablishment (spa/studio), I also have that information on the description I have in one of my albums, I believe in honesty, and clearity.., in order to start a good relation.... Rublover 100 Report post Posted March 27, 2013 This topic went quiet but is worth continuing. I have a strong preference for indy's and would be delighted to have a special track for them to advertise and collect reviews.
Guest **ssa***1 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 Yes I would like to see a seperate board... I am not a paid member here butttttt... I do have reviews on here and respond to them. Mixing everyone together is a bit much escorts/massage.. Escorts that do massage can explain they offer this service on top of what ever else they offer.. Massage is Massage and when a client is booking they are aware this is not full service. Full service providers and massage should be serperated it is made clear when a client is looking for a particular service we are not all linked together..and there is no confusion on service. There are many services out there now so having a seperate board will target the right service for the client instead of wondering what to expect when they are looking for MASSAGE OR ESCORT ...... Just my thoughts on this thread...some may agree or disagree.. Happy Easter to all!!! Buffy lee
Old Dog 179138 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 It's a bit of a sticky wicket. There are lots of members on the board that partake in all three avenues of the industry - full service providers, massage and strip clubs - and therein lies the problem. CERB provides a venue for so many things that naturally some confusion is bound to occur. An educated consumer will be able to identify the area in which he or she is interested and pursue that course of action. CERB does have areas that are SP specific, MP specific and SC specific. On top of that, each member and provider has the ability to identify themselves within their profile as to which stream they belong - so the client can, at the click of a mouse, discover the nature of service that he or she may expect to receive. We truly benefit from being an inclusive community. The discussions span a wide range of topics and often they are specifically introduced to touch on subjects upon which anyone can comment. That is the beauty of a pan-industry board - each of us can contribute and those contributions, whether serious or silly, can enhance the experience for each and every one of us. The creation of a separate board would also reduce the potential consumer base. As has been stated before, your client may not be just a massage client. He may be a massage and full service client that frequents the clubs from time to time. He may just be a full service client but is intrigued by a massage provider enough that he may pursue your services in a massage environment; conversely, he may be a massage client that wishes to see a full service provider. The blended board environment fosters that cross market traffic. It's not perfect for everyone but what we have is good... and you don't want to mess with a good thing.
Guest **ssa***1 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 I agree with your post....and yes with a bit of research and contact to the provider will define what the client is looking for...So I have nothing left to say so I'll leave it at that...:) There's a time to be seen and not heard...hahahah!! Leave well enough alone.... Buffy lee

canuckhooker 19203 Report post Posted March 30, 2013 I think any benefit would be severely outweighed by the disadvantages. The ads are pretty well labelled and categorized right now. If you are unsure, ask the lady when you arrange an appointment where she works and if she is indy. Again as I have said on other threads, do a little research, use search, ask the provider. I am sure you will get all the information your require and then some.
