From what I have read, seen, heard etc. I think the bottom line here rolls back to the societal norms that we all had growing up, especially in Canada. Ladies were taught to control their sexual appetites and to be there for their spouse. There was this stigma of "you shouldn't enjoy sex and you shouldn't ask for it or for what you want". I guess I just figured that the exact same reason I don't troll the nets dating sites for a hookup or go to a bar looking for a "drag off" would apply to women as well. Those options are not truly NSA and as you point out are rife with the possibility of getting a dud or worse a nut job.

My female clients have all not been escorts so I think that while current or retired female escorts are likely to be super comfortable with hiring they are not necessarily the market for a straight male escort. From what I've seen from reviews for Il Re (and those others linked here), it seems to be confirmed that it wouldn't work that well.
