YoungStud 468 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 With SPs I know and trust, they know my real first and last names. When booking first time dates, I usually use either Vin Diesel, Kanye West or Russell Crowe, depending on my mood. Might as well build up some expectations, no? Lol. Labrador 248 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I have always used my real name. I remember some SP being surprised at that!
kih 458 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 For me, I provide my real name.
spud271 47779 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I always give my real first name. I just find the ladies I meet tend to open up more and are more relaxed this way. Plus I have nothing to hide, I'm single so it's not a big deal.
Apex2006 1071 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I'm going to (as fake and overdone as I possibly can sound) scream out 'OH buggernot!' nextime, just to mess wit ya! ;-) (kidding hehe) Can you emagine what the people in the room next door are thinking when you are screaming OH BUGGERNOT! :)
Jabba 18389 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 Lots of ladies out there think that I'm just messing with them when I give them my name. What can I say, my parents REALLY liked the movie.

Akhenaton 221 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 Actually Annessa, both your points actually apply in reverse as well. I have had my share of "trustworthy" sp's, sadly to find after being a regular that well, they were not that trustworthy. Why would guys give a fake name, well to protect their identity, and their "real life', same as an sp. Is it annoying to feel that an sp does not 'trust" your discretion, well yes, same as the reverse. I have said it before, but this is a hobby that puts the participants in the margins of society's moral fabric, thus damage can be done to both parties. As a side note, how many sp's would use their own personal phone for "work" ? right, not many, it may not have occured to people that hobbiests can do just the same ? It would be nice if after a brief intro we could all switch to being humans, but the reality is this is a fantasy world of sorts, so well, so rules apply differently. I don't mind sharing my first name, but it also depends on my comfort level. ...just makes me wonder why a client would be so wary as to give us his name....and its a bit annoying when it feels like someone wont trust your discretion yanno?

Radio waves can be intercepted with the right equipment. This is my form of discretion.

Radio waves can be intercepted with the right equipment. This is my form of discretion. If using a cell phone that is NOT locked, make sure you erase all incriminating evidence:-| That happened to me, some SO calls up after supposedly seeing my number in her old mans phone:roll:
massagefan 100 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I started with a hobby name but eventually gave it up. Consenting adults don't need these games.
Seymour 3970 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I decided to use my middle name after calling a few numbers and the ladies answering told me in no uncertain terms "stop keeping me up at night Dick Hardon, you're blacklisted". Seriously - middle name. But it does sound weird to me when one lovely lady and I speak (on the phone) and she calls me Seymour and of course she knows my real name.
Ilovegirls 588 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 This is a good place as any for a first post. I use my real name. I think it helps with the comfort level.
rick_falcon 911 Report post Posted April 29, 2009 Being single and therefore, nothing to hide from no one, I give my real first name. Sorry to disappoint many who might have thought Rick Falcon was my real name! :-) (That's my porn star name...) Besides, being french, there is no way with my accent that a lady would believe me if I choose an english name. But I admit my name in french is hard to pronounce because there is no english equivalent. So it's a pronunciation challenge I provide to the ladies. Strippers are good to have fake names and change regularly. I had one I was seeing and her name was Kate. She changed club and one night, I called the club to see if she was there (it was out-of-town) and the lady who answered the phone told me she didn't know any Kate. After describing her, she said: ' Oh! You mean Vickie!' Me and Vickie laughed about it because she was certain she had told me.

Yes there is an SP that may know more then just that about me but we chat every day! Yes an SP needs to protect her self, but so do Hobbiest! A***** A***** 510 Report post Posted April 30, 2009 I'm sure we could have an interesting thread of all the fake names that hobbiests could come up with to use, lol I think I would be Rusty Shackelford (the fake name used by Dale Gribble from King of the Hill's) Why not start a seperate thread? I for one would be interested and I am sure I would get a few laughs out of it as well:lol:
Guest S**r***e Report post Posted May 4, 2009 If I have started my conversation with an SP on Cerb, when I call her on the phone, I tell her my Cerb handle. After we have discussed details I will tell her my real name at the end. I may wait and tell her my real name when I arrive for our date. Any other time I just give my real name. I only ever give my first name.
