MsManda 25686 Report post Posted October 23, 2012 I know im fairly new at this (cerb/sp etc) but i didnt see a thread started on this topic yet, and was wondering, how do you handle those awkward moments.. For example, you send someone face pix to show who you are, and they recognize you from outside this business, work etc :/ regardless if they still want to.see u.or not, its awkward to.say the least, or even a new client having many people in common with you.. Whats your most awkward moment and how do you manage it?
EADGBE 101 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I think mine had to be: I was with the SP in the elevator heading down to the front door after our hour together, when we happened to run into my friend in elevator. It was awkward. Because you have to introduce people. We were obviously speaking before he was there. So, I introduced the two and to this day have no idea if he knew . . . and I'm not asking. Guest V***s*aP*I Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I still don't show face pictures in advance (that might change in the future). But my very first date I showed up at his place, and when he opened the door we immediately recognized each other. . .but didn't really say anything right away. Turns out that my best friend is a friend of his as well, we chatted a bit and decided no one would ever know. Then we still had our fun. We have seen each other in public once since then, it wasn't awkward at all surprisingly. But it was a major shock, especially considering it was my first call and I was already nervous as hell. contraman 5480 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I don't recall ever asking for pictures of someone's face. Perhaps it's not a good idea to give those out?

Boomer 33202 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 It's not really a big issue with me, mainly because I've nothing to hide. The other reason is that I tend to see woman that I wouldn't be at all ashamed to be seen with, as I'm partial to women that are a little more mature and closer to my age. I guess that I've considered this happening and have thought up a few casual responses, pays to have a few stories in your back pocket. Also if this does happen it's probably inappropriate to use her name as it might not be the one the other person recognizes. The other thing you do is ask the other person a question first and divert the conversation towards him and whats' goin on in his life.. How are you doing, haven't seen you for a while, what are you doing these days?
Athos 108589 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I suspect it happens less than you might imagine. I think, in over 15 years of being in this game, I've a SP in public once. And it happened about a month ago. We passed each other in a very crowded square, our eyes met, and we just continued on our way. Even in small places, if you think about the number of men in the city, the percentage of men who hobby, the number of ladies working, etc., etc. The likelihood of someone you know showing up at your door is rather slim. I probably wouldn't send face pictures out in advance unless you're not worried about anonymity. But it sounds like you might be. Once he shows up at your door, you both have a secret. If he just receives the pictures and doesn't follow through, then he might have something on you. Porthos
fixednbroken 814 Report post Posted October 25, 2012 ..trying to imagine the point of view of an sp....I wouldn't be too free with my face pics, especially if you're living a 'double life' and not diving into the business as a full time lifestyle; Halifax and the maritimes is a small place, and somebody always knows somebody...can't even imagine on PEI! Same rules apply as regular life - what you put on the interweb, facebook, etc is pretty much out there forever - may be found by anyone someday, ... May be found by your future kids in 15 years time! "Hey , look what mom used to do!! " digital images never die...
Hfxhobbyist 110 Report post Posted October 25, 2012 Awkward is as awkward does. Went to a movie one time with my significant other and low and behold a provider that I had seen a few times came right up and said hello. She didn't realize I was there with my significant other and we both played it off. Awkward!
boomer01 5564 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 Once bumped into a gal I worked with and she was an SP at "Gentlemens Club" in Dart ( now closed ) A little awkward at first . She said she was fine with it and I knew I was all in. We had a great time and shared smiles at work.
jackdill 328 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 How about arriving at the door of an SP I have never seen before only to have her open the door and be standing face to face with her sons hockey coach....ME! mmmmmm just a little awkward. Mind you it didn't stop us. First and only time a girl has ever called me "coach" during the act. Additional Comments: I just reread my post and realized I missed the obvious "took one for the team" joke.

julie88xxx 1537 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 Hi. To refer to face pics. I would reccomend to all service providers, especially new girls, please think twice. You may regret it. I did. It ruined my life for awhile, caused alot of problems. If you dont want to be a working girl forever, or if you want to have a professional career outside escorting, then dont. It is a taboo business, that is very frownef upon. It can get you in trouble with future employers, future boyfriends, family, your kids, the government. Face pics are incriminateing evidence that can be usef against you, ex boyfriends, courts, police, tax man, CAS.
dread pirate roberts 4036 Report post Posted October 27, 2012 Halifax is a small town - chance encounters are almost inevitable. I ran into an SP I knew in the drug store once, though we both just pretended not to recognize each other. Another SP I knew had started while in nursing school but continued after she became a nurse. She said she'd had one of the doctors she worked with show up as a client once. Guest C**Tra****er Report post Posted October 28, 2012 I've never run into a SP while I've been out and about, but I have been out and about with a SP and run into several people that I know. There was definitely some initial shock on my part - that quick panic that runs though your mind, but we just went with the flow, said hello and kept on our way. One of the ladies that we bumped into actually worked for me!
