VedaSloan 119179 Report post Posted May 5, 2009 So all the interviews I did for POWER's needs assessment were saved from the voice recorders as .VOC files. I can't open them. I tried converting them to .WAV files but that didn't work either, as I still can't open them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I can't open those files I am in deep deep shit. If you still have this problem, can you give us make/model of your recorder ? Maybe an odd format ? I can help search for a solution. I once made Lotus 123 files readable in a program that refused to recognize the file type by, hacking the header hex code.

I did a quick search and found a "web based" .voc converter but I have not tried it. http://dinhe.net/aredridel/devoc/
VedaSloan 119179 Report post Posted May 7, 2009 Thanks guys! I ended up having to download the software for the voice recorder to open them. Converting them to different file types didn't work. But success! I can access them, hooray!
