When did this site start, and how has it changed over time? Does anyone who knows care to share? I am sure I am not the only one here who is curious. Thanks in advance! Since leaving the Presidency and with Hillary engaged with politics, (as a senator and now as secretary of state) he has plenty of time to pursue his hobbies. There was a lot of competition from two popular chat boards at the time. There was Lylas run by Christine and a second one (name escapes me) run by a lady who I believe owns Hands from Heaven. They were very popular because they were run by two strong women who managed them very well, they finally ceased because they were costly to run and I suspect tiring and time consuming to be run on a personal basis. Seems to me that CERB really came into it's own in the last five years when it's character changed. No negativity was a new thing and the advertising with the girls able to put up an album with their profiles. It got off to a slow start but because Ottawa didnt have its own board, it looked as though most hobbyists and SPs from Ottawa gravitated towards here. Kubrickfan 12836 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 I remember when I first joined in 2008 (after being a member of the other board for about 6 mos to a year) that there was a lot of shilling on the site ... some of the members had to kind of keep an eye on things as you would get some really biased stuff on here. Moderation of cerb was very different back then IMO. The "no negative comments" apporach started after a major dust-up on a few different threads sometimes around 2010 if I remember correctly. Its undoubtably has had a postiive effect on cerb by making many of the ladies more comfotable posting. On the other hand, if can get more than a bit politically correct at times, so it always a good idea to get your info. from more than one source, but cerb certainly seems to be the place to be, especially for the Ottawa folks. Guest *ig*a** Report post Posted November 27, 2012 I remember I first found Cerb by accident in 2005 I lurked for about a year and joined originally in 2006 under the Bigdog. I agree with Kubrickfan that back then it was different a little more free speech and not as much politeness as it is today. I had to leave Cerb for awhile for personnel reasons but then reamerged in 2010 as Bigdawg. Same name as before just different spelling.
