The competition isn't evenly spread across all brackets, from what I can see. There's a lot of competition amongst those who offer FS at $180/hr. or less; this is the bracket that's full of Asian bait-and-switch setups and it affects other providers whose services run up to about $250/hr. These ladies often have a higher volume of clients, if that's what they want.

 

At the higher end, $250 or $300+/hr., it looks like it depends on what the man is looking for. We have some lovely women of all ethnic backgrounds who charge between $500 and $3,000 an hour or more. From what I hear, they serve mostly actors and other entertainers, professional athletes and some of the Olympic organizing folks. These ladies are gorgeous, smart, savvy and young, as in they rarely admit to being over 30.

 

Then there are courtesan-types (like me), who generally see only one or two clients a day, if that, for meetings that are often several hours long and combine public, social time with private activities. Most charge $250-400/hr. There are very few Asians in this category. I'm not sure why this is, frankly. However, the clients are interested in companions with whom they can share social and cultural experiences, fine dining, etc. and so they care about things like education, command of English, life experience and so on. The clients may live in Vancouver or may be out of town businessmen.

 

One thing that I find interesting is that the vast majority of companions in Vancouver are under 35, and most of them are under 30. There's a considerable demand for companions over 40, 45 or 50 in Vancouver but there's also a limited number of us. The clients range in age from 45-70 or so and are mostly in their late 50s and 60s.

 

I do well here. My hunch is that I would do well in Ottawa, too, among the politicians and civil servants. However, I'm not moving to Ottawa!

I have noticed a lot of girls seem to tour to Ottawa, especially from Montreal where the average rate is lower. Obviously there's enough demand in Ottawa to keep everyone busy. A lot of the business is not seen here; it's non-advertised or word of mouth. There's lots of rumours of kept women too, but that's definitely not MY method! We, here in Vancouver are experiencing a flood of foreign girls, mainly Asians who undercut everybody, advertise all day long using multiple accounts, using fake pictures, (place the same girl with different pictures and same pic for different girls), are willing to do anything for peanuts (or are forced to do so by their traffickers or pimps) lie openly, every one of them is a professional masseuse, even if she says she is 19 years old, fresh from China.

 

It is not good for us who have built our businesses for years by providing honest, good work, and it is not good for the clients who go there and expect a good massage and all they are getting is a few strokes before they are offered sex.

 

Clients keep complaining to me about those places.

 

One of them said he went to a place that advertised non-sexual massages. (They also flood the therapeutic massage section) They offered him sex and when he declined they told him not to go back again.

The guy is a decent customer of mine, not a jerk.

Well these bait and swith operators are not offering the same services and are not offering fair competition. And your client must have learned a valuable lesson, n'est pas? This topic has been discussed before, I don't really have anything new to add and I'm definitely no expert. Personally I like to stick with tried and true people I trust and I'm willing to pay extra knowing I'm going to get. It's like the ma and pa stores in my community, I try to support them whenever possible!

I have to agree with Capitalman, why take a flyer on a unknown lady for the sake of a few bucks...not even a close tradeoff...risk of diseases, shitty experience, etc. Best to stick with the quality women who you know you can trust to give you a great experience every time out and who you can just trust period! Seriously.... while several of my clients have said that they'd tried one or two of these, none have admitted returning.

 

I think the key is the kind of experience the client wants to have. I insist on spending at least an hour and a half with a new client. Most of my returning clients see me for just as long, often longer. I have very few one-hour meetings, and those are only with clients who've visited me before. We go out to lunch or dinner. We go shopping. We go to the art gallery (a great place for seductive murmuring and other lovely things while looking at the Dutch masters). No car dates, but there have been a few limousines. We spend hours in bed, too. Often. The point is: if you want a leisurely, sensual encounter, I'm a great bet. I do give a wonderful blowjob, if that's all a client wants. For some reason, that's rarely enough.

The Chinese have gutted our industrial base for years now.

But we have done it to ourselves. Why buy a quality hammer for $10 when you can get crap for $2.

When I spotted skids of parts labeled Made in China, delivered to the company I once worked for (13 years), I knew my job would soon disappear.
