Capital Hunter 18263 Report post Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) The area at Lyon and Queen where several popular hotels are located is likely my recommendation. Among the hotels are National hotel and suites, Radisson, Albert at Bay (you get an apartment for the price of a room) and Delta Ottawa city center (keycards needed for higher floors late night) Edit: If you are coming to Ottawa for longer stay then maybe a furnished apartment would be best rather than a hotel. Google search for furnished apartments in Ottawa and there are plenty... Edited December 11, 2012 by Capital Hunter
canuckhooker 19203 Report post Posted December 12, 2012 In that same area, the Marriot as well. Parking underneath, you can get to rooms without going through the lobby. Big enough so you don't draw attention, and I have always found them to turn a blind eye to anything that looks like what we are doing.
Meg O'Ryan 266444 Report post Posted December 12, 2012 If here for awhile I've heard the Extended Stay on Cooper is good.
Malika Fantasy 144625 Report post Posted December 12, 2012 If here for awhile I've heard the Extended Stay on Cooper is good. I've never personally stayed there, but had calls there, I don't think they are that SP friendly, as you need to wait for the elevators pretty much right in front of the entrance...and the rooms are a bit run down (at least last time I went which was over a year ago)
Cleo Catra 178382 Report post Posted December 12, 2012 If here for awhile I've heard the Extended Stay on Cooper is good. I would not recommend this place. YOu do have to walk right past the front desk, and they only change the sheets every three days. I second what Malika said too, the rooms are run down in appearance. Also not all rooms have internet. I've stayed in all of the hotels mentioned above, the Radisson and the Marriott are both lovely. But my favourites are the Minto (very discreet), the National, and the Albert at Bay

mister_crufty 4891 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 Never mind her pictures....I'm just imagining her voice and accent in my head...OMG so hot...I LOVE UK accents. I think we Canadians sound a bit dorky to them unfortunately. ;-) Except for the Québécoise...yum!
VedaSloan 119179 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 I also recommend the Albert at Bay Suites. The Marriott is great as well. Enjoy Ottawa!
Sweet Nikky 110 Report post Posted March 22, 2013 This information is great, as I am not from Ottawa. However, I don't know if this question was raised in other threads, but I was wondering if there was a preference between downtown hotels and hotels by the airport.
