conquistador 18487 Report post Posted December 17, 2012 i believe you can only get the sim cards once you are here. as for the best pay-as-you-go or prepaid, have a look at Wind and Mobilicity, both have unlimited everything (talk, text and data) and some with global text messages (wind) for 40 dollars and under per month. These two have coverages in every major city in Canada (Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, but not Montreal and Halifax). Another one is Telus and i only pay 12 or so a month but at 30c/min voice and 15-20c/per text and not sure the data...this is a second phone. if you're in the city your best bet is Wind or Mobilicity on the cheap. if you need anything else, feel free to ask :)
Serena Blake 14066 Report post Posted December 17, 2012 My Cellphones are both Telus so I tend to buy Telus simcards when I need to switch it up
Cyndall_Kent 6880 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 I second the Wind Mobile suggestion. I pay only $45.20 (including tax) for unlimited calling in Canada, and unlimited texting in Canada, US and Europe, plus an unlimited data plan. Really great company. TKDKidd 663 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 I will second the sentiments of the others. Wind is a great company to go with, no provider is as good as them when it comes to having unlimited everything and you can get a month of service if need be.
