Sweet Emily J 172062 Report post Posted December 17, 2012 http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/story/2012/12/16/ottawa-barefax-lap-dances-for-toys.html The first line says "Sometimes Christmas charity can come from the most unlikely places." Interpret this as you wish. :icon_confused: Also, there is a poll at the bottom, and at the time I am posting this, 150 people voted that they wouldn't want their kids to get free toys from strippers. Wow! It's only about 6% of the votes, but still, seems like self righteous scumbaggy-ness to me.
VedaSloan 119179 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 I was curious about how on board the dancers really were. I mean, it's fine for the club owner to say that they were all totally down, but that's just one side. I mean, even with it being Christmas, the dancers need income too--do they all have to do lapdances for toys? Or do they get a choice?
Guest *l**e Report post Posted December 19, 2012 I know this owner personally...she would never force the dancers to do this. It was likely one or more of the dancers' idea.
Phaedrus 209521 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 Damn! If I'd known about this I'd absolutely have taken a toy along and donated to the cause! Alas, leaving town before I'll get a chance to... Because I care about the kids, obviously. Not because I like looking at boobies or anything like that. Oh no.
