Guest Ou**or**n Report post Posted May 28, 2009 Network Solutions is pretty standard.
capitalman 3861 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 www.netfirms.com - $9.99/domain www.domainsatcost.ca - a little pricier but good control panels and service www.domaindiscover.com - won't do .ca names but good for everything else. .ca names are good right now because last year CIRA adopted a privacy policy of keeping the .ca whois information private. This is a big boost to the .ca world, imho. Hope this helps!
Guest E**a Report post Posted May 28, 2009 When you register a domain, don't forget to make it private. It costs an extra fee but it is necessary if you don't want to see your info in the Whois database. I didn't know about the new privacy feature of .ca domains. Thanks for mentioning it, capitalman. Also, I would suggest to avoid registering your domain with your hosting company. If for some reason you need to change servers they won't be able to hold your domain hostage. GoDaddy is a popular registrar, but many have had a bad experience with them. http://nodaddy.com/ http://www.theinternetescortshandbook.com/notebook/articles/godaddycom-domains-and-escorts/

mod 135640 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I like to use domainsatcost as the control panel is really nice. I have an affiliate program with twocows as well but the domain manager for the openSRS system is kind of crappy. I have also used godaddy without any problems. I STAY AWAY FROM NETWORK SOLUTIONS! A***** A***** 510 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 I would use silentregister.com because they offer anonymous domain name registration. You'd be surprised the info that is available about domain owners. This company masks your personal info from the world. And they are Canadian! I found that out when I first did a doman registration many years ago
