Time to take down Christmas decorations?

What's the general consensus? When is it time to take down the tree and all the decorations?

 

Personally, I'm taking down the tree tonight but I think I'll leave the outside lights for a couple more weeks.

Same for me. I generally take the tree down on "back to work Eve", which in my case is this coming Sunday.

 

On the other hand my outside lights never really come down, but I stop turning them on sometime in the middle of January.

This year I actually didn't turn on some of the outside lights that stay up all year. One less thing to uplug now.

 

Yep ... most of the decorations will be coming down this weekend.

I usually wait until twelfth night at least. I have left them up for an extra week or two just because I like them.

I take my tree and decorations down Boxing Day. By Dec 27th, I'm usually ready for my solid routine again. As much as I love the holidays (maybe it's because I start so early?), I'm usually holiday-ed out by the 27th.

Outside lights are used year around....the tree and the rest of the stuff in the next couple of weeks.
