xxxAxxx 21016 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 I know the OP doesn't want to keep this thread going, but I could not resist pointing out a very important "variable" to his original post pointing out we (SPs) should all be averaging about 60K/yr.... You must have forgotten to take into account the 12 weeks of every year that nature makes us, well for lack of a better word, "unavailable". Even if we did get 10 bookings per week (Who's THAT girl and can she teach me how?!?!?), have you considered how many of those are half hour appointments? How many of them no-showed or canceled? From my personal experiences, if 10 men want to meet me this week, 6 of them are asking for the same time slot and unless we're all gettin together for a gang bang, only one person is gonna make it through. And last I checked, these business costs do add up: condoms clean sheets make up hair products / hair cuts or styling manicures /pedicures (you really wanna see an SP with foot fungus?) lingerie / stockings / shoes those trying to keep a particular body type would need gym memberships sex toys incall rent outcall traveling costs advertising communications (phone bill, internet bill etc) Believe me, especially as I am only a part-time SP, 60K is a far-fetched fantasy. --SIDE NOTE-- I seem to be the only SP not insulted by the original question. Though I do disagree with your assumptions about what we "roll in", I don't personally feel the question is out of line. Perhaps because like the OP, I like having overloads of information on everything and feel strongly that if you don't know something but want to learn about it, asking is your best bet. And I was raised by a hippie mother who led me to believe no subject is taboo. just mho.
mister_crufty 4891 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Thanks Alexxxis, I appreciate the support. I've spoken to a couple other ladies offline who also didn't have a problem with it either. One lady actually was laughing at me getting my ass handed to me. "Mom! The girls at school all beat me up! They pulled my hair and called me names and...and..." :-D My intentions were good but my wording was poor and I regret having created such a fuss. I was trying to include the overhead costs in the original post although your list is much more complete. And as far as rolling in the dough, I thought I was implying quite the opposite. Perhaps I'm not the clever writer I think I am. I'm extremely grateful that so many wonderful ladies choose to make themselves available this way and I really appreciate the hard work they do. At the end of the day, it's a ridiculous question anyway. There are so many variables that the range of earning potential is as wide as the ocean. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't make a red cent in this business unless I had magic hands and a smoking body like Il Re. ;-)
xxxAxxx 21016 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Thanks Alexxxis, I appreciate the support. I've spoken to a couple other ladies offline who also didn't have a problem with it either. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't make a red cent in this business unless I had magic hands and a smoking body like Il Re. ;-) No problem, I find that goes both ways; there are many topics in the past ( you'd have to look at archives from before 2008 ) where my point of view seemed to stand alone as many of the posters did what I call "ganging up" with negative comments because they did not agree with my PoV....but the silent members, the ones who have been lurking for years and never post, well they often feel the same as I do on a particular topic just don't bother chiming in, which can make one person seem like the only person who feels or thinks that way. So keep in mind for the future that if a thread gets 10 replies and they all seem to have the same view on things, there may be another 50 people not commenting who disagree, but will privately let you know they are on "your side". As for your comment about needing to have "smokin body", well that's irrelevant. When I first started in this hobby in 2005 I believed I would be unpopular because I do not have that "tight, fit super model body". This was an assumption and boy was i wrong! Doesn't matter if you're small, big, firm or fluffy, lil tits or giant balloons, hairy or shaved, black white brown or yellow, blonde or ginger, green eyed or blue, freckles or beauty marks, scars or tattoos, none of it matters for the simple reason of: everyone has different tastes. Yes, many gentlemen like that super tiny spinner type, and I'm sure there are plenty of ladies for them to choose from....but if all SPs were spinners, all those guys who feel that bones are for the dog and meat is for them, well they'd be sh!t outta luck, wouldn't they?
mister_crufty 4891 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 True but I think the appearance standards for 'man-hoes' out trying to sell their man-ginas (hee hee) might be pretty high. Of course being immensely skilled would probably help a lot too.
xxxAxxx 21016 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Of course being immensely skilled would probably help a lot too. Precisely. That's exactly what I was getting at with my comments in regards to body type being irrelevant. And just so we are clear, "skills" in this industry go far beyond sexual capabilities. Let's be honest, would you see the girl who "screws best" if she was addicted to crack and wanted to get high during your sessions, a lady who makes you feel unsafe by having other questionable adults or children present at the time of your encounter? Those are just 2 of the many, many, many different examples of how things like personality, demeanor & attitude, lifestyle, mutual respect, discretion, (the list can go on) many things come into effect when an SP provides you with a "service".... And to clarify : Do not mistake my personality and attitude as the same thing. My personality is WHO I AM, my attitude depends on who you are. DISCLAIMER: YMMV.
