A no show or late cancellation or good business decision

Recommended Posts

I had a late cancellation yesterday, even though I booked a favorite lady with an agency at 12:30 pm for 3:30 pm and called back and confirmed at 2:30 pm, however, when I called back at 3:45 pm (since no one had knocked on my door), the appointment was cancelled.

The escort you had booked and reconfirmed didn't show up. To me, that's a no show, despite the PR spin the agency tried to put on it.

If possible, PM me the name of the agency so I can avoid them in the future.

S_A, I would classify this as a No Show and not a illegit late cancellation as you were the one to make the call to find out about the No Show.

It was a bad business decision on how the matter was handled by the agency.

Nice to see that you utilized "plan B" and had the opportunity to see another provider. ;-)

I tend to agree with everyone else and classify it as a No Show. At least plan B worked out for you S_A!

Agreed SA. BTW, when an agency starts talking about how "busy" a lady is, that causes me to cringe anyways ... I have no desire to see someone that is that busy as its not going to be the kind of visit I'm looking for.

I am not sure if this will qualify as a legit cancellation, illegit late cancellation, good business decision, broken promise, or a no show?

I'd say, bad business decision, broken promise, no show, and terrible public relations. If circumstances changed on the agency side, you SHOULD have received a call with an explanation FROM them. That would have been better public relations, better business and would have demonstrated better customer appreciation by the agency!

And if it were an independent - I'd say the same thing.

It's almost not too difficult to figure out who you were dealing with based on your recent reviews. And in your review of Vanilla, you said that she promised to come see you no matter how busy she was. Maybe this other SP made that same promise to somebody else....

Thank you guys for your support and comments.

I received some info this morning that the lady was far at the time and had to travel far and she could easily become car sick travelling all the way. I accept the explanation. I was a bit emotional late last night but I do not wish to hurt anyone's buniness and if someone is sick or will be sick as a result of travelling long distance then that is a legitimate cancellation. So, I change my original verdict from illegitimate cancellation to legitimate cancellation based on the updated info that I received this morning.

I was not able to delete the thread however, I will go to the original post and edit it as much as I can.

I had a similar experience with the agency last night. I called in the early evening and picked an appointment time of 11 pm- enough time for me to get ready for my appointment. The agency said to call back at 10:30 to confirm. I called at 10:15 while waiting for my cab and the agency told me that she was booked for the rest of the night.

Now that I look back at it, the agency didn't even take my contact info... I mean what's the point of having an agent if they don't even handle the bookings?

Luckily, I was able to wave off the cab when it arrived... the driver was a little pissed...

Gee S_A you are more understanding then I would have been. When they made the booking they would have known where you were and where the lady was coming from. Someone on their end should have put two and two together and let you know when you called to confirm the first time. To wait until after the rendezvous time to tell you is unacceptable, particularly from an agency. I think they are spinning you a tall-tale to cover up some shoddy customer service on their part. I hope they made it up to you somehow.

Sometimes these issues arise, It happen to me, by a reputable agency, booking was completed prior to, that day she was ill in Montreal.

The bonus was I got a reduced rate the next time she was touring into Ottawa...now that was PR..at its best.

Like PistolPete says, a reputable agency or provider should offer up some kind of compensation. It is a business like anything else right? No negotiating rates. No asking for extra services not specifically listed. No calling after business hours.

Where's the customer service these days? :)

I would like to close this thread and thank everyone for the comments. I can't delete the thread though.

In my judgement no one was at fault, least of all, the lady in question (she was likely unaware of the situation) and she has my full support and still my very favorite. The agency may assume some responsibility, however, they are new and learning. So, I don't blame them either. I do blame myself a bit though for posting the thread when I was emotional late last night. I never meant to hurt anyone's feeling or anyone's business and I apologize. They will only get better with time.
