Sweet Emily J 172062 Report post Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) Breaking news today... http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/story/2013/02/06/ottawa-pamela-kosmack-homicide-suspect-arrest.html Ottawa police link serial predator to 2008 slaying Pamela Kosmack was found dead near a bike path close to Britannia Park on June 4, 2008. Ottawa police have a man in custody they believe is linked to the murders of two Ottawa women found dead in 2008 and 2011. The man was arrested at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre on Wednesday in connection to the deaths of Pamela Kosmack, 39, and Leanne Lawson, 23. Kosmack was found beaten to death in June 2008 on a bike path near Lincoln Fields transit station. Police recently offered up to $50,000 for information that would help solve the three-year-old homicide of the woman who struggled with addictions. Lawson was found dead in a Lowertown parking lot in September 2011. Police told CBC News more than a year ago they believed a suspect who killed multiple sex workers may be linked to the unsolved homicide of Kosmack. Police first alerted Ottawa sex workers in December 2011 about a man who might be preying on the city's prostitutes.
