I agree too. Barb's is a great club and soooo easy going. No hassle, no bouncer assigning you a seat, no pressure. This club is unique and we should all be going. I know it will be difficult to find anything like this anywhere else in the area.

 

And hey, the cover charge is $4! you can get a pint for $5.25... and then there are all the lovely girls... it does not get any better! I mean, if these prices are a problem, maybe you should stay home.

 

Some girls told me they were concerned because attendance had slowed down but also because, when the bar was busy, the CR can remain quite dead... Even on Fri-Sat...she had a point, I noticed this a few times recently... I think we need to keep going to this great club and see the girls there.

I've had this experience in the past and it can be a bit of a drag. Seems to occur when things are a bit subdued and thus I suppose the ladies are chatting with club regulars or acquaintances. Happened to me many years ago with a lady who became a fave......remember it well.....she's at a table with a group.....takes her turn on stage....afterwards makes a beeline back to the table...no one there takes her to CR....this goes on until I have to leave......at the time I just assumed it was a table of her friends or regulars.

Yes, this happens. In a way, it is nice to hang with a dancer when it is not busy, as long as you are the guy catching her drinks. The most considerate thing that you can do is ask the waitress to let her know that you would like a dance. After all, most gurls really are there to dance and make money. The waitress will know what the dancer is up to. There are high rollers that will actually pay the ladies to stay with them.

You will be helping the gurl a lot. She will usually get dances with the guys she is hanging with at the table or YOU! Either way, she will be the better for it, and she will likely remember you in a favourable way!

She also said that some other girls have moved there and that the girls from TO that come here to try out Barbs stay one night and go back.

This seems to be a relatively recent and unfortunate turn of events at Barb's. At the risk of sounding repetitive, I'm not surprised that a Sunday night was not exactly frantic but your earlier post suggests that it's been quiet even on Friday/Saturday nights.

 

As recently as early 2011, I tended to avoid Fri./Sat. nights as the club could be just too crowded for comfort, at least in my view. Since becoming more of an afternoon clubgoer at Barb's I have found it somewhat quieter this year. On at least a few occasions (and I'm not in even close to weekly) last year, I was forced to find a seat under the TV on Friday afternoons although things would calm down a bit after 2:00-2:30 or so. More recently, I've rarely been denied my fave table and then only when arriving a bit early when the buffet crowd was still around.

 

Last visit was on a Monday afternoon and it was very quiet as expected. Hope to see how things are on a Thurs./Fri. afternoon soon.

Don't give up! I have been both the guy waiting patiently and the guy who is lucky enough to get a visit! My first attempt to meet my ATF was foiled by her having a long conversation with another customer. Come to think of it, it might have happened more than once. Now, after several visits, we have become friendly and can talk for a long time. I could see how it would be frustrating to others who might want to see her, but I appreciate the conversation and I -think- she does too. In some ways, it is like a coffee or lunch break with friends. Also, if the stage show was particularly energetic, the dancer may be cooling down or relaxing (I know not really an issue at this time of year, but...)

 

Most dancers know the right time to ask the 'question' for hitting the CR. If a lady was concerned about the time spent with a prospective customer, she could easily work it into the conversation. As others have mentioned, the other guy could be a regular, a fairly valuable commodity in these tough times.

 

So throw some smiles, applaud, send a drink, make a compliment when going for a smoke or to the washroom, whatever. I once had a dancer say I looked bored at my table. I learned from that. I have never looked bored in a strip club since!

I think 4 guys in the club is the big issue with Barbs. The place has been very quiet this fall... the girls need many guys to make a living... and they are not there. If Barbs does not pick up, they will go away.... I still cannot understand why Barbs seems so slow while other clubs are doing okay.

 

I hope I am missing something here.... really.

Yes it is unfortunate that Barbs is so quiet. Not sure if this is only the case with barbs though but if so then their open CRs and cameras in the CR and as I recently found out the no-kissing rule in the CRs (though mostly ignored) doesn't help much either.

 

Barbs undoubtedly has the classiest most beautiful ladies of all Ottawa-Gatineau (my subjective view no offense to anyone) and doesn't deserve to be so dead. I am guilty myself as hell as I haven't been there for weeks now as every week that I plan to go and see my favorites then I come across a lovely escort on cerb or BP where I can meet her in the privacy of my home with no cameras or no bouncers to check on us or a no-kissing rule. The local economy and recent layoffs doesn't help either. I hear some ladies heading away to Toronto which is likely not much better than here. Very sad!!!. Lets make an effort collectively to go there as often as we can!!.
