Normally costs around $60 cdn in Bangkok for two hours and includes FS etc...... They sometimes use an edible Japanese massage gel but in most places it's just soap and water on an air matress. I'm wondering if the liquid she uses maybe a mixture of cornstarch and something else. I certainly don't know what the heck that liquid is, but I took Hun's suggestion as sounding quite reasonable. I've cooked up a couple of batches of goop in my kitchen today. The first followed a recipe from the net. Basically it's: 4 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 cup water. Heat until it boils and starts to congeal. Cool. Enjoy. The result did not suit me 100%, but it's quite workable as far as I've "worked" with it in the test-lab, if you catch my drift. It does tend to dry out after a bit of heated action, as it's water-based ... but since you could make a bucket of the stuff for pennies, what the hey! Just sprinkle on a bit more water, or keep slopping more of the goop on. (You wouldn't need a full bucket unless you were going for the 24-hour massage, anyway, lol). I've tried fiddling with the amount of cornstarch, and am going to keep on tinkering. It definitely isn't the stuff in the video, but it's cheap, functional, and all-natural. Water-based, so it washes off easily. Any thoughts from the food-chemists out there? I've never had a Thai Soap-Suds Massage ....always thought that it looked HOT. But a Thai corn-goop massage?? That looks like a bowl of raw eggwhite our heroine is using (probably combined with something else). I test-dove that hypothesis this morning. Looks right. Acts right. Close enough, I say. You can add some water or oil to thin the eggwhite out a bit, but that's not necessary or maybe not even preferable. I tried it, and my opinion's still open on that. I didn't test it, but you could add vanilla extract or some such thing for aroma and taste. Eggwhite does dry out over time, but just keep slopping it on ... it's relatively cheap. Cleanup is a breeze, it washes off easily. The whites of 12 eggs s/b enough for a total massage, I'd guess. 24 max. (Eat some of the yolks afterwards to replenish your energy.) Warning: the USDA estimates one in 20,000 raw eggs carries salmonella (but this has never deterred me from eating raw cookie dough, lol). A Thai eggwhite massage ... right here in Nova Scotia? My imagination is all aquiver ... sirsmitty should be promoted for his valour in bringing this issue to light. Sure, he's already a Knight ... but he should henceforth be dubbed Knight of the Bath!
