Old Dog 179138 Report post Posted March 5, 2013 When Mr T introduced us to the origin of words, it struck a chord. There is so much out there that we don't know.... and we can change that. I am a history buff... it was my major at university. One of the greatest things about historical data is that it can and will take you back - magically transporting you to a time that you remember fondly or to a time that sparks your imagination. Each and every day is an anniversary of some event that has touched our lives... whether we know it or not. So for March 5th.... here we go. In 1959, she made her debut. She was impossibly tall, incredibly slim and had dimensions that in the real world are difficult to fathom. She was, and still is, glamourous. On the day of her birth, she was gorgeous... and 54 years later, she still turns heads.... Her name? Barbie!! And on this day in 1969, in Miami...
