a******s.m*****e 187 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 I know some of the board owners think that the drama and the bashing bring more people to the site (and that may be true) but those people just wreck the site for everyone else as they get off on slandering and ganging up on women and it becomes a lot less enjoyable. Mod, you are so right! Without naming names, there was a board that was pretty nasty to women and they finally decided to fire the moderator and the other bullies. The bullies started another board where the owner said "There will be no no-review list" and "No white-knights". So these guys were happily bashing women and writing nasty reviews on the new board. At first they worshipped the owner, praising the freedom. I told the owner that if he lets these guys be such jerks, the nice ones will stay away and years from now all he will have will be the same nasty people. He just wrote back something about no white knighting and freedom of speech, etc. Then, when the guys got rid of everybody they didn't like, they turned against each-other (because I think after a while they miss the joys of being nasty even if there is nobody they can be mad at), and turned against the owner when he refused to oblige them in everything. They moved to another board just to be able to bash people. That new board is dead, and the board of this guy who allowed the bashing is stagnating. After two years, SAME PEOPLE, same bashing, same boredom. Only difference is that now they trash the owner instead of praising him. Had he cleaned up at the beginning, he could have had a flourishing board today.... :) I admit at first I thought there is no way people can get along so nicely on an escort board, and I was thinking, where is the catch? :) But after about 6 months reading this board I can tell there is NO catch. It is unbelievable, but true. :)
brinston2004 100 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 Being new here I am very grateful for CERB both to the mod and all the participants. I now make it part of my daily routine. I haven't contributed yet as I didn't really have much to say but I could not let this thread go by without voicing my thanks. I really enjoy the atmosphere here which is not present on other boards that I have looked into. Keep up the good work folks and I hope to contribute more to the discussions in the future. jerican 657 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 Or a 3G (or any internet) enabled smartphone. The mobile view is really quite good. Full forum viewing, replying and even private messaging is in place. I am continually impressed with the enabled functionality CERB has...it really is superb especially considering it is a fringe subject so to speak. I have seen many mainstream boards with probably much higher usage stats that have half the functionality. I am addicted to viewing this board as much for the ladies as the adult and fun conversations we enter in. I'm going on vacation tonight until July 10th and am going to miss my conversations on CERB as it has truly become part of my daily life. I think I'm going to suffer form CERB withdrawal while away. I might sneak my laptop and see if I can ocassionally find internet access to touch base and see what's going on!

reallywhiteguy 100 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I joined CERB with a single minded intention. To learn a little more about one lady. However, I have leanred a little about a lot of really wonderful, insightful people. I was a member of TERB for a bit but stopped because it was just plain nasty at times. This is sooo much different. I have not had the chance to make the acquaintance of many individuals yet. My posts are few but I hope are well received. If anyone ever wants to send me a PM to establish a friendship....I thinkI'm a pretty good guy. Thanks to the moderators for having this place. It is informative, and just plain fun. mod 135639 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 The stats are actually not working. Since we moved the site to the new server the stats have died on us. (see screen shot below) We are looking at switching to another program but it's not a priority right now. The log files are just too large for this old stats program (webalizer) to handle (at least that is what we suspect it is - it's really not a priority). We also purged about 2000 members a few months ago. Members who never posted and had not logged in within 2 years were removed from the site so the membership is significantly higher. From what we can tell our traffic is about the same as it was the last time I posted stats. Between 6 and 12 thousand daily visitors. This is actual visitors (not "Hits") hits count with every banner displayed, image served, page served, etc... that really tells you nothing. Some people will tell you how many "Hits" their website gets to try to impress you but the hits don't really mean anything. The "Unique Visitors" and the "Page Views" are the real number. As you can see you can have 757487 hits a day and that accounts for 9487 actual visitors viewing over 170 THOUSAND pages on your site a day.
Guest Ou**or**n Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I have been a member of a great number of online communities over the years. Every major hobby has many boards - from woodworking and photography to more obscure hobbies like vinyl recording collecting and ponds. It seems that no matter what the hobby there are always a collection of jerks, know-it-alls and negative people that degrade the experience. Far too few boards enforce any standards of conduct and that is one of the two key things that makes CERB different. The other key difference of course is its non-negative review policy. While I miss being warned about ladies with bad service I have become a rather conservative hobbiest and take a 'no news is bad news' approach. Yes I miss some gems that come and go in the business. I also miss being the hero that TOFTT. I also miss having a hidden gem of lady that few others know about. However I gladly take that trade-offs for the consistently great experiences I've had with the ladies recommended on this board. As an active participant in an activity that is still fairly marginal in society I enjoy the discussions and views from both the ladies and the gents. What I find different on this board is that the folks here open themselves up on a far more personal level than what I've seen on other boards. This is a very genuine and very human sense of contact that is rarely found in the online world. In the normal disconnected online world where people can be nasty behind their anonymous handles and a world of 100's of 'Facebook' friends, CERB is a welcome island. Congrats Mod on an excellent board. That and we're all busy having sex with each other

rockstar1 204 Report post Posted July 2, 2009 Ive been a contributor of somewhat, I see most of the hottest women, but we have the responsibility of protecting each other (SPs and hobbiests) from the bad seeds or the ones who pose a safety risk, may it be drug related or bringing in the boys where their safety is jeopardized. Most of the people on here are of good taste and are very kind to share information, so that everyone can enjoy our SPs and not worry about their safety. Cato 160314 Report post Posted August 2, 2009 I think it may be time to revive this thread, and to say thank you to all the contributors out there who exchange information frankly and respectfully. It's rare that nasty misunderstandings develop here, and when they do, it reminds you of how good this site really is.
Ragnaglar 440 Report post Posted August 2, 2009 Agreed Cato as a newb, I do truly appreciate this forum. To say it's a win-win is not saying enough! Using this forum is fun, educational, and important to hobbiests and providers alike. Thanks to all that make this work. jerican 657 Report post Posted August 2, 2009 Hear, hear! Thinking of all the wonderful women I would not have met without CERB makes me appreciate it all the more. Even the non-sp/mp related stuff is great imho, the daily pictures, the random discussions, the industry updates and sometimes just plain silliness makes this board a daily read for me. I think it may be time to revive this thread, and to say thank you to all the contributors out there who exchange information frankly and respectfully. Jackie James 215 Report post Posted August 3, 2009 I enjoy CERB also. The atmosphere @ Cerb is calm with very little drama. At least since I've been a member here. Hobbyists/Reviewers are friendly, reviews are not rude and the SP's are friendly. I'm glad I joined! Thanks, Jackie xo
