Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted April 27, 2013 I am amazed about those that ask about reviews of those that are not on this site. I understand about wanting new information about those that are new to the biz..... However, it seems that there seems to be a bunch of newbies that are asking about those that are not on CERB..... Why would you want to ask about those that do not have a profile on CERB? It sometimes means they are really new, or sometimes it usually means they are not earnest hard working sp's/ms's who understand that reputation means everything. Maybe she did have a profile, but it was removed because of bait and switch. Is it so easy to believe that a pic on some website is legit? Unless she can back it up, I would always beware. Remmber, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. That might be why there is no profile or reco's here....... Please, ask about reco's about those that choose to have an active profile here. Stop asking about those that have no credentials..... Going to bed now... My rant for the day! xoxo Meaghan
mod 135639 Report post Posted April 27, 2013 Judging someone because they do not have a profile on cerb (yet) is not very welcoming to our community. I have no issue with anyone asking about anyone (on or off cerb) here on cerb. It's great when you support the ladies who contribute on cerb but to many variety is the spice of life and finding a NEW jem or TOFTT seam to be very important to many in the community.... When I say Community I mean the industry in a whole and not just cerb. We (everyone involved on any side of the business) should support each other and not just here on cerb, the community as a whole to make it the best it can be for everyone who deserves it to be the best (Obviously not the pimps, bad apples, B&S, etc... we all need to work to identify them and make it NOT profitable for those scammers and bad people). Many of the ladies of cerb did not know about cerb until someone from the site introduced them (mentioned it to them during a date or in a email). The only way the site gets bigger and better is by reaching out. Trying to get the guys here to just focus on the ladies here is BAD for growth of the site and in turn it may be good for the ladies here right now... but a year or two down the road and the site starts to loose traffic it does not help anyone. (and we must think of the LONG run and the BIG picture) If they are new providers to the business .... we want cerb to be a inviting place for them so they do not get sucked in by the BAD and maybe we can show people the positive and good side of the business. Lots of guys get the most thrill from seeking out new ladies (A diamond in the rough) and being the first to recommend the new gems! Some of the cerb ladies see this as competition but what people overlook is how important that is to the health and growth of this site. It all comes full circle and in the long run it brings more people to cerb and increases business for all the ladies on cerb. Good providers should never look at another new or established provider as competition or a threat to loss in revenue. That is NOT the case as it would be impossible in most cities to have any monopoly on this industry and if you did it would still not be a good thing. We all need each other... It's hard to accept but it's true. In the long run it all comes full circle... Even those coming in with low ball hourly rates. It may draw a NEW man or two into the client side and he will shop around and try different ladies. It's all good and we want to welcome everyone who is good here to cerb and NEVER be unwelcoming to discussions, questions or anything like that. Friendly, Fun, Inviting... lets make sure we maintain that for everyone. P.S. I don't care much for RANTS (and Ranting is a BAD idea for any SP) .... in order for the ladies to maintain that nice friendly fun (sexy fantasy) that everyone strives for when promoting themselves in this business... nothing is really less sexy then ranting, fighting, complaining, etc... I would very much prefer a RANT FREE site or any rants to be in the SP ONLY area out of public view (if you need to rant). Probably the MOST damaging thing some of the ladies do is post rants or preach. Some people get mad when I say this but this site is not intended for that. Friendly mature discussions are great and very much welcome... but every time someone rants, fights, states a mean or unfriendly opinion in public it will absolutely effect how others perceive you (and for the ladies this can probably cause the biggest hit to the income - far more then anything else I would think).
Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted April 27, 2013 You are right. My apologies.
Serena Blake 14066 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 Although a girl isn't on CERB doesn't mean others haven't seen and enjoyed her. This is The Canadian Escort Recommendation Board and not a closed party :) I see why it is done, to check to see if they have credentials
Hollywood Thomson 553 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 Another thing that may prevent people from asking about reviews on CERB and asking if you are on other pages is if they are living in areas that do not use CERB a lot such as the Durnham/Peel region or a lot of independents in Toronto. A lot of Peel and Toronto's best are not on here as their ads would simply not be seen on here because people in these areas use these other boards so predominantly in comparison to CERB. A girl just came in from Calgary/Winnipeg/Montreal today into Toronto and looked like a good match for a friend of mine, did not ask her if she had been reviewed on the other boards because of her other providing locations. But if a girl came up from Toronto and I was in Ottawa as it seems to be the most active Ontario location on here, I would ask for reviews on other boards. mod 135639 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 You realize the popular cities here did not get popular by people NOT asking questions and posting info right? All it takes is a few people to join and use the site to kickstart the other areas.... This site is a sub-site of escorts-canada.com (popular in both Winnipeg and Ottawa and other cities like calgary/edmonton, etc...) so you will notice much more traffic in those areas but halifax and much of the east coast is onboard with us now and slowly other cities are going.
spud271 47779 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 As both MOD and I said in another thread recently, it just takes one person to get things rolling for a specific city. Both Ottawa and Winnipeg have a huge number of members on here. In the last year to two years, the East Coast has really grown with contributions on CERB. Again though, it only takes that one person asking questions or posting recommendations for a city or area to people talking.
CristyCurves 169032 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 I found out about cerb by searching the net, when I started learning about computers and advertising online I started searching for escort sites and found among others, cerb:) . I would say its a good sign people come here to ask about other girls, it says they trust this site and the feed back they will get. IF I may also say, I think Meghan was well intentioned in her post, I believe she was just wanting men to see the wide variety of lovely, well reviewed ladies here :) and with such a variety she was probably wondering why the need to go elsewhere, but thanks mod for explaining that:)
Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 Ok, I would like to clarify something. I was really venting about a couple of specific posts asking about the same ladies that have been shown to be Bait and switch in the past. I really should have addressed those specific posts instead of venting about everyone who asks about someone who does not have a profile. I do not have any issue with someone who is new and people want to find out if anyone has seen them. I have no issue with competition, I actually love competition as it keeps everyone on their toes. That's what makes this country go great, is healthy competition. In the future, I will address those specific threads that are asking about the same people who have been shown in the past as b&s, show them the link and leave it at that. Again, I would like to apologize. My intention was not to call out those that are asking about someone new, or someone who does not know about cerb. Sometimes words come out wrong, and that was never my intention. xoxo
