PatrickGC 10792 Report post Posted May 30, 2013 Saw this video last night and I was simply astounded. For the most part this is about men's violence against women. However, this is not your usual monologue, the speaker addresses the issues from a very different angle which is both subtle and profound at the same time. It also addresses issues which affect everyone including sex workers and their clients, transgendered people, disabled persons, gays and lesbians etc. This really speaks to the core issues and behaviors of society and our individual peer groups. This is also empowering. Definitely food for thought and action. Video Synopsis: Domestic violence and sexual abuse are often called "women's issues." But in this bold, blunt talk, Jackson Katz points out that these are intrinsically men's issues -- and shows how these violent behaviors are tied to definitions of manhood.
