The shill attempts to spread buzz by personally endorsing the product in public forums with the pretense of sincerity, when in fact he is being paid for his services. Who are you shilling for? 3. When an SP (Service Provider: aka hooker, escort, etc) provides a third person recount of her/his services on a review board (i.e. www.xxxx.ca- link removed to respect Cerb's rules) under the context of it being from an actual customer's experience. A shill could look something like this. "Hi, my name's Bob and I'm a long time lurker first time poster. Despite previous negative reviews I saw Brandie and she fucked me rotten, I've never had such a good experience. I think everyone should see her and spend their hard earned money." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Personally, I would even go as far as saying that offering a free 'session(s)' or 'free anything' in exchange for a review/recommendation is pure shilling and shows a lack of integrity and professionalism on the SP's part. At the same time it takes away value from the real reviews/recommendations and cast doubt on the validity of it all. On a side note, the gentlemen who decide to engage in shilling for the SPs' (case scenario above) are not much better than the original deceiving and deplorable behavior and are not doing any favors to anyone but their selfish selves. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thus drum up more business for the provider.
